Portable Evaporative Coolers.Fresh and comfortable airflow. Energy saving and environmentally friendly. Ideal for Lodges,Guest House and Patios!
While evaporative coolers may have a higher upfront cost, they offer substantial long-term savings on your electricity bill. Unlike traditional air conditioners, which use a lot of energy to cool, evaporative coolers use natural processes to efficiently lower temperatures. By circulating cool, moist air, they consume significantly less power, translating to lower energy costs over time. So, while you invest a bit more upfront, you'll see your savings add up month after month, making it a smart choice for both your wallet and the environment.
A portable evaporative cooler, works by using the natural process of evaporation to cool the air. Here’s how it generally operates:
Water Supply: The cooler contains a water reservoir that needs to be filled with water. Some models may have a continuous water supply option.
Evaporative Pads: Inside the cooler, there are specially designed pads made of absorbent material, which can be cardboard, cellulose, or other substances. These pads are soaked with water from the reservoir.
Airflow: A fan inside the unit draws hot air from the environment into the cooler. As the warm air passes over the wet pads, water from the pads evaporates into the air.
Cooling Effect: As the water evaporates, it absorbs heat from the air, which cools the air down. The cooled, humidified air is then blown out of the cooler and into the living space.
Humidity Consideration: It's important to note that evaporative coolers are most effective in dry climates, where the low humidity allows for more evaporation to occur, leading to better cooling. In areas with high humidity, the cooling effect is diminished.
Ventilation: For optimal performance, it's often recommended to use the cooler in conjunction with open windows or vents to allow for proper airflow and to avoid excessive humidity accumulation indoors.
