Peto Estate Residence – Phakalane
Client: Private Residential
Location: Phakalane, Gaborone
Designer & Implementation: iAV
Completion: 2025
Project Overview
This project stands as one of iAV’s standout residential installations completed last year at Peto Estate. The scope encompassed full interior design and implementation, delivering a cohesive contemporary living environment.
Scope of Work
• Kitchen design and installation
• Living room TV unit
• Dining area feature wall cladding
• General wall finishes
• Lighting design and installation
Materials & Finishes
The design combined durability with refined aesthetics:
• Cabinetry: High-gloss white MDF
• Accents: Walnut Fusion detailing on display cabinets
• Countertops: Whisper Quartz stone
• Feature Finishes: Africote special paint and wood wall cladding
Design Concept
The concept aimed to achieve a contemporary finish with timeless appeal. The Africote feature wall introduces depth and character, while wood cladding adds warmth and texture, balancing modern surfaces with natural elements.
Lighting Approach
Lighting was intentionally bold and sculptural, designed to serve as a focal point within the space. Instead of relying on heavy ceiling bulkheads, the scheme emphasizes statement fixtures that enhance visual interest while maintaining a clean, uncluttered ceiling line.
Wall Art & Decorative Elements
Wall art was used as a key design feature to strengthen the visual identity of the space. Oversized, bold picture frames were carefully selected and positioned to create an art-gallery ambiance within the home. This approach not only adds personality and sophistication but also transforms transitional walls into curated focal points, enhancing the overall spatial experience.
At Interior Architects Village, design goes beyond aesthetics; we create living spaces infused with life, purpose, and identity.
