Door repairs on some damaged doors from the good ol fist and foot. not a spray finish for this time, but much cheaper than replacing. Ill take it 🫡.

The conundrum: is it easier to finish doors onsite or in shop? I honestly think it boils down to time and overall goal/desire.
Cost is important, yes, but if you want to achieve high success, than the right people need to be in place FOR EVERY ASPECT OF THE JOB. The journey is tedious.

I think of all the hoops and people that need to be involved to get this into reality.

The concept
The design
The dissemination to trades for quoting, estimating
The selection process
The acceptance and commencement of work
The ordering of materials and product
The sequencing of trades required for ex*****on the job
The approval and acceptance of the finished scope of work
The cleanup and billing.

There is an incredible amount of steps, and sub-steps to achieve incredible results.

If ONE PERSON in that step drops to ball in any capacity, then it goes south, and in a hurry.

I still firmly believe onsite is best, but shop has incredible value if it can be executed properly with the correct steps.

I think it will always be the conundrum that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
