A Bellflower That Keeps on Ringing All Summer Long! ๐Ÿ””

Carpathian Bellflowers are a beautiful, low-growing perennial that adds a splash of blue, purple, or white blooms to gardens throughout the summer. Their bell-shaped flowers make them a great choice for rock gardens, borders, pathways, and retaining walls.

To keep Carpathian Bellflowers looking their best:

1. Plant them in full sun to partial shade.
2. Use well-draining soil to prevent root rot.
3. Water regularly during dry periods, especially when newly planted.
4. Remove spent flowers to encourage continued blooming.
5. Divide mature plants every few years to maintain vigor and prevent overcrowding.

These hardy perennials are easy to care for and provide long-lasting colour year after year.

๐ŸŒน Thinking about adding roses to your landscape? Here's what you need to know before you plant.

Roses are one of the most popular flowering plants in the garden, offering beautiful blooms, wonderful fragrance, and long-lasting color. Here are a few common types you may see in local landscapes:

Hybrid Tea Roses: Large, elegant blooms that are perfect for cutting and displaying indoors.

Floribunda Roses: Produce clusters of flowers and provide continuous color throughout the season.

Climbing Roses: Ideal for fences, trellises, pergolas, and garden walls.

Shrub Roses: Hardy, low-maintenance roses that work well in landscape beds.

Miniature Roses: Compact plants that are excellent for containers and small garden spaces.

Rose Care Tips

1. Plant roses in a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

2. Water deeply at the base of the plant, especially during hot and dry weather.

3. Apply mulch around the base to help retain moisture and reduce w**d growth.

4. Prune dead or damaged branches in early spring to encourage healthy growth.

5. Fertilize during the growing season to promote stronger plants and more blooms.

With proper care, roses can provide stunning flowers from late spring through fall. What type of rose is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.

Let's Talk Salvia!

Salvia is one of those plants that often surprises people with just how much it has to offer. With its vibrant flower spikes, long blooming season, and ability to attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, it's easy to see why it's a favorite in many landscapes.

You'll often find Salvia used in:
- Perennial gardens
- Pollinator gardens
- Border plantings
- Cottage-style landscapes
- Drought-tolerant garden designs

Another reason gardeners love it? It's relatively low-maintenance! Salvia thrives in full sun, prefers well-drained soil, and once established can handle periods of dry weather. Deadheading spent blooms can even encourage another round of flowers later in the season.

โ“ Do you have Salvia growing in your garden?

What's your favorite variety or color? Have you noticed more bees, butterflies, or hummingbirds visiting when it's in bloom?

Share your photos and experiences in the commentsโ€”we'd love to see how Salvia is growing in your landscape!
