Vicky Comeau Designs I grew up loving all crafts and fibre arts. I learned to Knit and Crochet when I was very young and it was my ‘peace’ for many years.

A Vicky Comeau Design is custom created, and when ordered, you can expect a unique product, made from quality wools/cottons/fabrics, with great attention to detail, color, & current trends. In the mid 90’s, I was introduced to Rug Hooking by the girls at work and was intrigued immediately. Over the next decade I sold my own rug hooking patterns, made up beginner kits, and sold many finished hooked

pieces. Raising 4 children took over for a couple years then I learned how to Tunisian Crochet and I was off designing and selling again. I bought beautiful skeins of 100% wool and designed unique purses, beautiful thick cowls, and many many winter hats with and without pompoms. Along with the Tunisian creations I also sewed one-of-a-kind oversize totes in beautiful cotton fabrics. In 2013 I started a page and also started selling at downtown festivals and on consignment. In 2016 The Copper Tree Boutique opened (in the historic Dayles Grand Market in Amherst, NS) and Vicky Comeau Designs was invited to setup in this beautiful shop on a permanent basis. Fast forward to today, Vicky Comeau Designs is now located in my brand new studio at our home at 1912 Fort Lawrence Road. I design and sell a wide variety of unique rug hooked pieces; my own rug hooking patterns hand drawn on linen; a line of beautiful adult knitwear including hats, cowls, wraps, and scarves; and most recently I have started making baby booties and baby blankets again with the announcement of our 8th grandchild on its way! I hope you enjoy Vicky Comeau Designs, each item is custom created and when purchased you can expect a unique product made from quality wools/cottons/fabrics, with all my absolute attention to detail, color, and current trends!!

YMCA is hosting a 'Coldest Night of the Year' VENDOR FAIR 3-5pm, THIS Saturday February 28 (Community Walk beginning at 5pm), all located at the Community Credit Union Business Innovation Centre at 5 Ratchford St, Amherst, NS. Vicky Comeau Designs will be setup at the Vendor Fair inside the Innovation Centre with a table full of Winter Knitwear. Stop by, pick up a warm hoodie cowl, hat, or wrap, register for the Walk, and participate in a great cause!!!
