Raising Monarch butterflies started as a simple hobby at home. The experience of watching these incredible creatures transform from tiny eggs to majestic butterflies was truly magical. As a 13-year-old with a passion for these delicate insects, I realized

this could be a way to share that joy with others. We want to offer everyone the chance to witness the wonder of metamorphosis firsthand, all while earning some extra money for my savings goals. But our mission goes beyond personal enjoyment. Monarch butterflies face real threats to their survival. Their habitats are shrinking, and their numbers have been declining. By raising and releasing Monarchs, we're contributing to the conservation efforts to help replenish their population. Did you know that a single female Monarch can lay between 300 and 500 eggs over her lifetime? That means each butterfly you raise has the potential to make a significant impact on the next generation of Monarchs. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of these beautiful creatures.

The iconic Monarch butterfly is now officially an endangered species in North America. 🦋😔

Among the causes of their steep decline, the lack of milkweed (their caterpillar's host plant and exclusive food source) in undeniably the main one and by far. Together, we can reverse this course. Together, we can plant milkweed seeds and give monarchs a much needed breather.

Fall is the best season to plant milkweed. Our cold winters create physical and chemical reactions in milkweed seeds and increase their germination rates the following Spring. 🌱

Our first monarch emerged from their chrysalises!! Here’s one of our critter’s first few moments as a butterfly. When the monarchs emerge, you may notice a reddish brown fluid dripping off of them, this is nothing to worry about, it’s called “meconium”, accumulated waste from their time in the chrysalis. In a few hours the butterfly will have dried off and stretched its wings ready to take off!!🦋

Saw this gorgeous monarch laying her eggs in our garden while I was working outside this afternoon!! I’m happy to say the eggs have been collected and are set to hatch into little caterpillars to be purchased real soon! At the moment we have our first batch of caterpillars this year ready to be picked up on Sunday July 6th, so make sure to place your order before midnight of Saturday :)🦋
