Shepherd’s Hardware Ltd., proudly operating as Shepherd’s Home Hardware Building Centre, has been serving Armstrong, British Columbia since 1925. We began as Shepherd’s Cash Hardware, a small but determined store focused on meeting the needs of our community. In 1948, we moved to a new building and adopted the name Shepherd’s Hardware. rew stronger, and in 1978, we moved into our current location at 3525 Mill Street. That same year, we joined the Home Hardware Stores family, connecting our small-town roots with a national network of trusted suppliers. We’ve expanded over the years to serve more of our community’s needs:
In 2013, we opened the Shepherd’s Outdoor Living Centre at 2410 Pleasant Valley Blvd, specializing in yard and garden products—from barbeques and patio furniture to lawn equipment and plants. In 2023, we launched the Shepherd’s Design Centre, offering higher-end flooring, kitchen cabinets, countertops, and bath fixtures, supported by experienced design consultants to help bring customers’ visions to life. Today, with nearly 120 employees across our locations, we remain proudly rooted in Armstrong, committed to providing quality products, expert advice, and friendly service—just as we have for nearly a century.
