Curbside Brush Collection Event: April 14 - 17, 2026

The Town of Aylmer's Public Works Department will be collecting brush curbside from April 14 - 17, 2026.

To ensure collection:
✅Bundle and tie brush before placing it to the curb
✅Bundles must be no longer than 1.4 meters in length and must weigh less than 44 lbs
✅Set brush to the curb prior to 7:00 AM the day BEFORE your regular waste collection

This collection event is for brush only. Please do not place yard waste bags to the curb beyond what is permitted for weekly pick up.

Join us on May 2nd, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, for a Community-Wide Clean-Up! We are looking for volunteers to join us as we walk through our parks and neighbourhoods picking up litter and reporting issues (including graffiti and safety hazards). Help us tidy up Aylmer for all to enjoy!

We will meet at the Palmer Park Bandshell at 9:30 AM for refreshments (while supplies last) and to get directions and supplies, before heading out to walk the community.

Meet the Gardener!

Growing around the farm, the garden was never just a place — it was a classroom, a playground, and the beginning of a lifelong love for all things green. From a young age, I found myself surrounded by soil, seedlings, and the steady rhythm of nature. Working in greenhouses only deepened that connection, teaching me how to distinguish plants from weeds, understand watering schedules, and care for both delicate annuals and hardy perennials.

Over the years, what started as simple curiosity grew into a true passion. I learned the art of planting, the patience of growing, and the joy that comes from nurturing something into full bloom. Gardening became my form of “dirt therapy” — a grounding, creative outlet that brings peace, purpose, and beauty.

Oasis Blooms was born from a desire to share that joy with others. Whether it’s refreshing a garden for a new season, creating custom porch pots, or helping plants thrive through thoughtful maintenance, my goal is to bring a little more life and colour into the spaces you call home.
