Comfy Acre Retreat We sold everything and moved to the countryside of Ontario, Canada, to live life after kidney cancer. We moved here in the Summer of 2015.

After living in the City of Toronto for almost thirty years, we wanted a change of lifestyle and so our search began. It took us to the countryside of North Eastern Ontario, where we bought a property just outside the Town of Bancroft. Our property was liveable, but a fixerupper. We have been fixing since we got here. We have always thought it would be fun to document our journey. Therefore, this

past Summer, 2020, I decided to start a Journal documenting our journey in the countryside. Join us while we journey along!

With the temperature dropping below freezing tonight, I’m rushing to get our fragile strawberry plants, honeyberries, and delicate greenhouse seedlings safely protected from the late spring frost.
Spend a cozy evening with me on the acre as I share my freeze prep steps, turn on the greenhouse space heater, and walk you through all of our newly planted beet and bean beds.
