We are excited to share that one of our new team members was selected as one of only 10 recipients of the CNLA “Digging into your Future” New Employee Grant!

This photo captures him doing what he does every day — working hard and helping load a customer’s vehicle, Wichita Blue Juniper and all.

This grant supports new employees who are building a future in the horticulture and landscape industry, and we are very proud of him for being chosen.

Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement — we can’t wait to see you continue to grow!

The plum trees in our holding yard are putting on a show! 🌸

Our Brookred Plum and Princess Kay Plum trees are in full bloom, and they smell incredible.

Brookred Plum has beautiful white spring flowers followed by deep purple-red foliage, making it a great choice for adding rich colour to the landscape after blooming.

Princess Kay Plum is known for its stunning double white flowers and strong, sweet fragrance. It has a softer, more classic spring look with green foliage.

Both are beautiful ornamental trees.

Round 2 of our Cinco de Mayo surprise lunch… 🌮🎉

We had the chance to snap a photo of a few of our sales team and some of our production crew—everyone got to enjoy building their own burritos and taking a well-deserved break. Safe to say the surprise was a hit!

It’s not often we can get everyone to slow down this time of year, so these moments mean a lot. Thanks to our amazing crew for all the hard work you put in every day—we’re glad you enjoyed it!

We treated our crew to a little Cinco de Mayo celebration today — and safe to say it was a hit!
Build-your-own burritos, lots of good food, and even better company. It’s days like this that remind us how lucky we are to have such a hardworking team keeping things moving here every day.

🌸 Phlox are showing off! 🌸

These beauties are starting to bloom and we couldn’t resist sharing a preview.
We currently have 5 beautiful varieties of Phlox putting on quite the show!

🌱 Planting Tip:
It’s still too early to plant Phlox outdoors, as they don’t like cold nights. Waiting until the weather warms up will help them settle in and thrive.

🌱 First Bareroot Trees of the Season Have Arrived! 🚛

Our first load of bareroot trees has arrived from our supplier, and more shipments are on their way. These trees are already 3 years old, and from here, we’ll continue growing them for another 3–10 years, depending on the variety.

Right now, they’re resting safely in the shop while we wait for better planting conditions. The weather has been cold, windy, and wet, which isn’t ideal for getting young trees into the ground. As soon as conditions improve, our planting crews will be hard at work getting them settled into the fields.

Growing trees takes patience and planning years in advance. The trees arriving today are part of what we’ll be nurturing for the future—just like the ones we planted several years ago that are ready for customers now. 🌳

Even though these newly arrived trees won’t be available for a few years yet, you can shop from the trees we planted years ago that are mature and ready today.

It’s always exciting to see the first loads arrive—another season of growing is underway! 🌱
