For real though, the process is long and before they look good they look, well…underdone? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Being creative is NOT a one step thing. It takes a lot to get to the finished piece that you see. The end result takes practice however, the being creative is whatever you choose it to be. It doesn’t even have to turn into anything, sometimes it’s about the ride not the destination.

It actually wasn’t suddenly…

It happened slowly over time, I didn’t really even recognize it for what it was until it …
was.

I found myself again, found my joy, my happiness, my solid ground. It came at a price but it’s a price I’m willing to pay over and over again. Finding my peace came with silence; it came without text messages, without broken plans and promises, it came from myself. And that’s where it will stay ♥️

My dream job, well actually….

That’s a lie. Being a cookie artist was never on my radar; not until it fell into my lap.

I always wanted to be a psychologist but university math was NOT my cup of tea (actually no math ever was lol). I have ADHD and wasn’t diagnosed until a few years ago. By university I was completely burnt out from having to mask and pretend and play a role my entire life to be able to survive in a society that wants people to fit a certain mould.
And it wasn’t until lately that I would even consider myself an artist. I never thought I was good enough AND doing art means making mistakes and being messy and that doesn’t work when you are desperately masking who you are.

BUT, dreams can change and so can your outlook. Now creating is absolutely a dream come true and I’m so thankful every time I make a new set of cookies that I’m able to do what I do 💗

Don’t post my work?!?

Here’s the thing, that’s not going to happen lol. I’m always going to post my work because well, it’s my work ;) However, this post is also true. Pictures of your work are great, beautiful, post-worthy for sure! BUT not always the most interesting to those who don’t follow you or don’t understand your business yet. Behind the scenes will always capture attention which is what you need in order for others to follow along.
So, post your work but also post you working 😉
