Took a wander today. Found this old stump, covered in moss and nearly forgotten. One might guess that the wood was removed been used to heat a home long ago. But new growth is slowly forming. Happy Friday Tree Friends. 🌲

I’ve been working out of town for a while and none of my on shift photos are allowed on social media. (Not that I would either because it’s not the works of the ) I’ve been deep in the woods chasing fire damaged trees which is cool. But some times a guys just gotta get his feet off the ground. So I have no clue what the rest of the crews up to on a Saturday night, but I found a nice quiet park with a couple big Ol’ trees to play with. Practiced climbing on the old reliable Blake’s Hitch. My arms were burning before coming down, resetting and tieing in on hitch climber pulley and prusiks. Skills, like saws get dull. Very glad I took the time to get out and grind.

I might have Eucmen style, but I promise I’ve got the skills of an Oakman. 🌳 officially got the papers to prove it 😁

This one was THICC. Sadly for the customer, the previous property owner killed it by topping it years ago. Trunk was infested with ants and fungus, but still enough sound wood to send it where I wanted. I think I made a friend though, 🐓

Awesome project this week pruning a customer’s high valued cherry and grafted apple trees. Each tree on the family property was planted for a member of there family. I was honoured to be tasked with tending to these trees.
