🔨 One of my earlier projects working alongside Boonstra Contracting — and definitely one that stands out.

This was a large-scale custom framing job for a major architectural firm’s new build. The design was something special, developed through collaboration between their team and ours, and completed in multiple phases.

We handled full steel framing, wood framing sheathing with plywood, and wrapped the entire structure using Soperma Blueskin for a clean, weather-tight finish.

The design itself wasn’t your typical design — it runs continuously up and around the building, with three sections that rise up and over, wrapping across the structure. The front feature included a custom angle and bend, which brought its own challenges but made the final result that much more rewarding.

Projects like this push your skill and precision to the next level — and that’s the kind of work I take pride in.

❄️ Throw back to this winter rental refresh 🔨

This rental was in rough shape when we got our hands on it back in December—but after a full revamp through the heart of winter, it’s now a clean, modern, open-concept space ready for new life.

We removed two walls to completely open up the kitchen, living, and dining areas—bringing in better flow, more light, and a whole new feel to the space.

✔️ New drywall where needed
✔️ Full bathroom upgrade
✔️ Full kitchen upgrade
✔️ New tile, flooring & trim throughout
✔️ Fresh paint top to bottom
✔️ Brand new doors installed in every room

✨Throwback to this awesome 12x12 she shed I built back in August/September 🔨

This one was designed as a quiet office space - a perfect little getaway right in the backyard. It features a centered skylight bringing in tons of natural light, plus three upper windows and a 4x4 feature window to really open up the space.

Built in association with Boonstra Contracting 🤝 — and completed start to finish in just 6 weeks.

Honestly, this was a fun one to work on from start to finish. Seeing it come together into a clean, peaceful workspace made it all worth it.

Another clean transformation completed in Stoney Creek 🔨

The homeowners wanted a proper separation door between the upstairs and downstairs while still keeping the space looking open and natural. We installed a full 36” door to maximize the opening and make the transition feel seamless with the rest of the home.

This project included:

• Framing the opening flush with the wall corner
• Installing the new door and hardware
• Moving the heat vent over 3” for proper clearance
• Carefully removing and reinstalling the original railing after painting was completed
• Drywall installation and mudding
• Priming and painting
• Matching and installing baseboards throughout

The finished result looks like it was always part of the original layout — exactly how it should be.

Had a great time doing this one. Really great people to work for and everything came together clean and seamless from start to finish. Appreciate the trust 🙌

Another full start-to-finish project I had the opportunity to be part of 💪

This attic transformation took place in a third-floor home in central Hamilton. The first photo shows where we started - a complete strip down of the space.

This project was completed for our friend at South Street Painting, helping create a brand new rental unit and add extra income to the home.

🔨Working in association with Boonstra Conracting and Castle Carpentry, I helped handle the finishing as a subcontractor and helped bring this space back to life:

✔️ Stripped and leveled the floors
✔️ Sistered the joints for added strength
✔️ Installed resilient channel throughout
✔️ Fully insulated and Poly wrapped
✔️ Drywalled and Taped
✔️ Installed new flooring and trim

✨From a raw attic to a clean, functional living space - a solid transformation all around.
