Sin Fong likes The Butchart Gardens, British Columbia, Canada This is NOT an official Page of The Butchart Gardens. Although a picture paints a thousand words, the real Butchart Gardens paint only one - "unreal".

I like Butchart Gardens very much and so created this Page to share the beauty of the flowers, fountains and statues with FB visitors. I have also shared Photos from the official The Butchart Gardens site. After the initial creating of the FB page, I contacted the "owner" of the official Butcharts Garden to seek permission to use the name in my page. I did not want to offend or infringe the copyri

ght of the name. I explained my intention, so that I could share my love of the gardens with my friends and others who might not even know the existence of Butchart Gardens. I finally had the go ahead. So friends and visitors of this page, do enjoy.

If Mrs Butchart could it, why can’t we do the same with disuse quarries around the world?

If Mrs Butchart could it, why can’t we do the same with disuse quarries around the world?

One hundred years ago, Jennie Butchart planted two Arborvitae on either side of the main path in the Sunken Garden and established the symbolic presence of the ‘Tree of Life’. These iconic trees have been the fabled backdrop of the most photographed vista here.

Welcome to autumn!
You know the season is upon us when you start to see Chrysanthemums being planted. These plants prefer cooler weather; in fact chilly weather intensifies colours and keeps blossoms looking fresh. Depending on the year, Chrysanthemums will begin to go in the ground as early as late August and as late as October. This year you can expect to see 27 different varieties of Chrysanthemums planted in beds and pots throughout the property.
