Concrete without the weight.

This feature column was created using our Concrete Look Coarse in grey, acetate sheets, and a custom panel layout to replicate cast concrete panels with aged surface character. The acetate process creates a unique fractured texture that exposes the layers beneath, giving the finish depth and authenticity that changes from every angle.

What started as drywall became a monolithic concrete feature complete with panel joints, texture variation, and the feel of formed concrete—without pouring a single yard.

This feature column was created using our Concrete Look Coarse in grey, acetate sheets, and a custom panel layout to replicate cast concrete panels with aged surface character. Exploring the possibilities of our Concrete Look Plaster.

These handmade board-form samples were created using our coarse concrete plaster, textured rollers, release agents, and taped joints to replicate the character of cast-in-place concrete and weathered formwork.

Every layer, texture, and imperfection is intentional—allowing us to create everything from subtle architectural concrete to heavily aged industrial finishes.

Maison Margiela at Oakridge Park, Vancouver.

For this project, we supplied and installed over 7,000 sq ft of custom Marmorino plaster. The process began with a reference sample sent from Europe. Over several weeks, our team developed and submitted more than 12 custom 2’ x 2’ samples to accurately match the colour, texture, depth, and character of the original finish.

Once the project was completed, the final finish was reviewed in person by Maison Margiela’s New York design team, who regularly work with high-end mineral finishes around the world. We were honoured to hear that they considered it among the best examples they had seen.

Projects like this are a reminder that exceptional finishes aren’t just installed—they’re developed, refined, and crafted long before they reach the wall.
