We are slowly getting back into spring works, but the snow and winter like conditions continue to hamper our progress!
We were able to remove and extend this deck and install new decking and a new railing. We were able to complete 3 spring yard clean ups in the far South East part of Calgary. Now we are preparing to shovel snow once more tomorrow!

We were able to take full advantage of the incredible weather this week! Deck renovation completed.

Project Photo’s - Composite deck renovation! Outdoor work in the winter has a lot of challenges but we managed to address each difficulty. The product is Fiberon Goodlife composite decking with 30 year warranty against fading. The guys got to put their training into action sooner than we expected! It’s been a nice run but a return to winter looks like it’s inevitable!

One of the best things about winter in Calgary are chinook’s! Sadly winter will come back soon enough. I’ve been enjoying these spring like days and I had the chance to meet some clients to dicuss their landscaping ideas for 2026! I cant wait for real spring so we can get the projects started. We all have the occasional bad day

So here's the thing—earlier this season, one of our crew members was plowing a steep, icy driveway when the truck lost traction and bumped into the client's garage. Damage to the garage door and the side of the building. Not ideal.

But here's what happened next: We called right away, owned it, and worked with the client to fix it. We repaired the exterior damage, ordered a new garage door panel, installed it, and painted it to match. Done.

The best part? Our client wasn't worried. She knew we'd take care of it, and she said we are the best snow removal company they have worked with and plan to stick with us indeffinetely!

I partnered with Evans Tedham Building Products to host a Composite Deck Building seminar. I was honored to be the instructor, and the team from MrFlood’s was on hand to help answer questions. Building with composite is not easy and mistakes can be costly. I get a lot of questions about low water landscaping. Aka xeriscaping.
In this case the huge spruce takes all the water and the grass was dead.
My client had an idea for her front yard and we made it a reality!

We removed the grass and added a boarder to keep the neighbors grass out. Added a double layer of heavy duty landscape fabric, planted a few low maintenance grasses and shrubs. Topped it off with 3 different materials to make it interesting.

I also planted a secret in the mulch which will add some additional interest!
