As this business grows and we have the blessing of such a great team it has completely taken me out of the physical aspect of the job. Not going to lie it did mentally break me a little bit to not have a constant physical outlet lol. Getting off the tools is something we are told to strive for but it is genuinely challenging in so many ways. Giving up control, learning more self discipline, learning new skill sets to provide work for even more people, sitting still, finding other ways to stay active and not getting paid to do them. There are cool perks but it’s a hard, hard shift.
Focusing this year on getting into the trenches with clients and picking apart their houses, budgets and priorities has given me a fun new spark that I didn’t realize I cared about.
Loved doing this project with and working with people who share your special interests and your mindset. Sometimes really does make work not feel like work. That’s such a cheesy thing, but I don’t know how to say it less cheesy and this is actually my diary entry, so.
Anyway, here’s a nice plant.
