At our West Hillhurst project, we encouraged our clients to see the beauty in what they already had—starting with the existing fireplace. Rather than replacing it, we leaned into the warmth of the original tile and built-ins, allowing them to anchor the design in a way that feels both timeless and inviting.
To elevate the space, we kept the deep blue feature wall and layered against it, artwork with a generous white matte creates contrast and draws the eye, giving the fireplace wall a refined, gallery-like presence.
The built-ins were thoughtfully reimagined as a listening lounge—perfectly suited for the client’s love of vinyl. Paired with a tailored recliner (our take on comfort, redefined), the space invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
We also repurposed the existing sectional, layering in a new coffee table that offers both function and a moment for display. Every finish was selected with real life in mind—durable enough for a busy family and their dog, without compromising on style.
A space that feels collected, comfortable, and completely intentional.
