We spent yesterday in South Calgary helping a local property in McKenzie Lake breathe a little easier. We had to remove three Columnar Lombardi Poplars, but it was a necessary move for the health of the yard!

Between structural risks from twisting trunks and some stubborn cases of Canker and Scale, these trees were becoming a hazard. By stepping in now, we’ve helped stop the spread of disease to the rest of the neighborhood.

Elbow Park! We are in you!

Today we are looking at a property we have taken care of multiple times over the past few years and are keeping up on some regular inspections for a very large Elm tree to ensure its structural integrity. Large trees like this are a pillar of any healthy neighborhood and while beautiful, do require some regular upkeep for the purposes of safety and of course, aesthetics!

We will be continuing to post about the seasonal requirement to prune Elms only between the months of September through to the end of March to prevent the spread of Dutch Elm disease. Plus, it’s not just good practice, it’s the LAW!! 😉

Hello Calgary!

Today we have the crew working in the beautiful Foothills region just south of the city located in between the areas of Priddis and De Winton! Our arborists will be removing a spruce tree that has unfortunately outgrown its space in relation to the house on the property and will also be providing some intensive clearance pruning for the clients view of the mountains for a wedding that is coming up this summer!
