NICE TO MEET YOU

Contempa Carpet Company is a family-owned business that has been providing award-winning service to retail clients, designers, and Calgary’s leading home builders and renovators for over 40 years. We were founded by John Herbst and Horst Huber, who started out in a small office a few blocks away from our current location. Over the next 30 years, they earned an outstanding reputation for having the finest selection of floor covering products, for providing exceptional service, and for caring about their customers. John and Horst have since retired and leave loyal staff and family members to manage the business. We continue the tradition of building satisfying, long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers … and, of course, living up to our reputation! Today, we keep up-to-date with all the newest trends and make sure to give back by contributing to the community.

A little moody. A little bold. A lot to fall for. 🍂

Rich wood tones, creamy tile, dramatic black accents and warm brass—a palette inspired by the season, made to love all year.

With Halloween around the corner, we’re embracing the darker details. Which finish catches your eye? 🖤

There’s something about fall in Calgary. 🍂

Golden streets, crisp mornings, and that little reminder that home is more than what’s inside the walls.

We’re pretty lucky to call this place home.
