A Garden Thyme Creating a beautiful environment one garden at a thyme. Consultations, garden maintenance, rejuvenation, design and spring and fall garden tune ups.

Greetings for 2023!
A Garden Thyme has been operating since the summer of 2015 and it has been a great experience for me. But the time has come, I’m retiring. Yup, hanging up my gardening tools professionally.
Creating my business has been a labor of love, a learning experience and some days more difficult than others. But the joy has also come from getting to know each and every client, and working in their gardens, whether it was a one time project, spring wake-ups, fall tuck-ins or regularly scheduled garden maintenance visits.
I have appreciated all of you, your business, your gardens and your friendships.
Thank-you all for your business.
Most sincerely,
Kathy

Spring appears to be in the air, which means our 2019 gardening season is right around the corner. A Garden Thyme is again open for business and ready to book and organize our spring cleanup schedule and regular ongoing garden maintenance. Our start date for spring cleanups is always weather dependent. Tentative start dates will be late April -early/mid May.
Please get in touch if you would like us to “save a date” for a cleanup or schedule regular garden maintenance. Garden maintenance can be weekly, biweekly, monthly or vacation coverage. It includes:
- w**ding
- garden edging
- light plant and shrub pruning
- division, transplanting, relocation, rejuvenation
- additional services such as planting annuals in pots or beds.

Happy gardening and we look forward to visiting your gardens soon.

A “spine tingling first planting” for A Garden Thyme. A prickly pear castus, or as a Calgary nursery called it a Naramata cactus. Planted with rubber oven mitts that even got tagged by the prickles.

Greetings!
Well it seems that spring may be taking its hold and we can welcome our long awaited 2018 gardening season. This means that A Garden Thyme is open for business and ready to book spring cleanups and on-going regular garden maintenance. I still have snow in my back gardens, which means that there may still be frost and excessive moisture in your gardens as well. To reduce soil compaction in your gardens, we want to ensure they are fairly dry before we start muddling around. If you would like to book your spring cleanup with A Garden Thyme, I am booking dates for mid-May. Be patient, we want to ensure optimum conditions that will reduce damage to your soil and plants. The lady bugs will also appreciate a few extra days or week in their hibernation zones.
Please contact Kathy at 403-874-4142.

Merry April 16th! Yes, we have a heavy snowfall warning here in Calgary today. The bunnies have turned brown and the robins are dazed and confused, but thankful for the berries still left on the mountain ash trees. They apparently will also eat raisins that have been soaked in water.
Our gardens need the moisture but it would be nice if it wasn't this color white. As I look out my study window and still see the banks of snow and blowing snow off my neighbor's roof, I feel discouraged but May is just around the corner and hopefully the only time we will see snow next month will be May long weekend! Sorry all you campers out there!
Hopefully the color green as in green lawns, trees and gardens will be in our near future!
