Where is my Sewing Clan? Another retirement goal = start sewing again! I still have a sewing machine from High School that needs to be replaced. I want one that goes forward, backward, zig zag and maybe buttonholes. No! I don’t want learn a new computer.. just to sew 🤪 what brand &/or model do you recommend?

Well, our news is now public. As part of our retirement plan we closed the greenhouses this year and step two is moving house. We have purchased our retirement house in the town of Devon and will move shortly. You can imagine with 31 years on the farm, this is an adjustment! It is bittersweet for us as we have raised our boys here and had SO MANY adventures. I would go into them but this post would be very long. At the top of the list is the amazing neighbours, friends, community elders, and, of course, New Humble School and our Country Greenhouses. For a city girl, with an 18 month old and pregnant, moving to the country life was a BIG leap. I could never have imagined the joy it would bring. With (tears &) gratitude we thank you for a lifetime of memories and friendship. We are NOT far away, so we’d love to stay connected.

These two slay me!!!! We have recently discovered that Blue L.O.V.E.S. Ice cream 🍦. What places can we get (free?) pup cups? I already know about DQ. His obsession isn’t good for ME! I buy a small ice cream to get him a pup cup 😂

Yesterday broke me. There is an ache in my heart that will never fully go away. This beautiful girl, Tilley (aka Miss Tilley, Missy, My Girl, & Sweetie) crossed the rainbow bridge. She was the toughest, bravest and yet the sweetest dog, and she chose me as her human. I was blessed. We were best friends. She was also my shadow, following me everywhere - in the Greenhouse, the yard, and from room to room in the house. Thank you, My Girl, for 15 years of your love ❤️ I’m sure you’ll get the hang of those wings in no time at all.
