Looking back at this cottage loft transformation ✨

The goal was simple: create more space for family and friends to enjoy cottage life together. By adding a functional loft, we made room for more beds, more heads, and more memories.

The custom rope railing adds a little treehouse charm while helping keep the resident treehouse animals safe. (No treehouse animals were restrained during this renovation. 😉)

Every renovation has a story, and this one began with patience and a search for the right team—after interviewing several contractors, our client chose us, and we’re so grateful for that trust. We transformed her main floor into an open, functional space with layered lighting, a highly practical kitchen, a stunning island, a seamless appliance garage, a personality-filled mudroom, and a statement powder room, all designed around her life and family moments. We’re working with a repeat client on a home that has already lived a full, beautiful life — raising a family, holding countless memories, and now stepping into its next chapter.

With retirement on the horizon (wherever their kids may land), this isn’t a full gut — it’s a thoughtful glow-up. Because not everything needs to be. A reimagined kitchen, updated tile, subtle wall treatments, and personal touches that reflect who they are today… and how they want to enjoy these next few years before passing the torch to a new family.

It’s about honouring the home that gave them so much, while giving it a fresh, meaningful reset.
