Ooooo weeee. On a role with these reeks. Here’s another project from October 27-28 2025. A new client wanted to reveal the original floors of their century home. They wanted to finish them but the demo was a little too much for them. They reached out to The Hive Works Handyman for help. It was pretty tough to remove the plywood but once the client shared the pictures of the end result, all that sweat and back pain felt worth it.

Welcome to part three. The client had these countertops delivered but they came with a clear coat. The really wanted unfinished, then have us stain and finish them. Sooooo first step was to remove the finish. With time and patience it’s ready for stain. Come back for the stain reveal!

We had a great opportunity to help a great client. The original contractor left them with an unfinished space. The first step was to remove the damaged kerdi membrane and mortar. With the help of a Hilti concrete grinder the process was quick. Once the new Kerdi membrane down, the herringbone pattern was continued from the living room into the kitchen. It was the biggest tiling job The Hive Works Handyman has done. The client was really happy to get this step done and ready for the next step. Stay tuned for part 2.

It’s done!! It was a great opportunity for us to build this storage solution. With the design from our awesome client we transformed this mud room into a welcoming space. Hiding the washer and dryer keeps this room neat and tidy. We can’t wait to show you our next special build. But you will need to follow us to see it. Another happy client! We got this one done on time and budget. By reusing the existing doors and frame we saved our client around $1000 and prevented unnecessary garbage. Finding solutions for our clients is one of the best parts of this business.

Our repeat client needed a step installed off her deck. With 3 footings down 4 feet this step isn’t moving during freeze thaw cycles. It is now much more comfortable for her to get onto her back yard!
