The dreaded freeze is coming, reach out if your in need of laneway salting, to ensure you and your vehicles are safe during these icy times

Watch out for icy conditions tonight (Tuesday) across Southwestern and Central Ontario!

After a stretch of above-freezing temperatures, much of the region has experienced significant snowmelt, leading to ponding on roads. On top of that, wet snow and drizzle throughout the day have added even more moisture to already damp surfaces.

The big concern now is a sharp temperature drop expected over the next few hours. The most dramatic plunge appears to be along the London to Kitchener corridor, where temperatures were sitting around 5°C as of 5 PM. By 10 PM, temperatures are expected to plummet to -5°C to -7°C, setting the stage for a flash freeze.

As a result, untreated surfaces—including roads, sidewalks, and driveways—will quickly turn icy. If you’re heading out tonight, use extreme caution, as black ice will be a major hazard.

There’s a small chance of isolated school bus cancellations tomorrow, depending on how treacherous local road conditions become. However, because flash freezes are so localized, it’s impossible to predict exactly where cancellations might occur. We don’t issue ‘snow day’ forecasts for situations like this, but it’s something to be aware of, especially in rural areas.

Stay safe out there!

Currently down 2 trucks with no other backup to get to our lots, great time for it to be a holiday, we are working on sourcing parts to get back up and running as soon as we can! This winter has not been forgiving and is definitely not on our side! With all luck on our side we will be out full force by morning .

Reach out with any questions. We understand you may be frustrated and we are aswell, this unfortunate is out of our power as the season has been brutal on the equipment without any down time to do any maintenance, Please work with us instead of against us during these hard times!! We’re working as fast as we can!

02/16/2025

We will be on the road cleaning residential driveways as soon as the snow subsides! Due to road conditions and white outs, not worth losing our last running truck,
