Apple Blossoms only last about 3 to 10 days. During this time bees and other insects will pollinate the flower. Shortly after the petals will fall off and the fruit will begin its gestational journey.

So here's the story behind this shot...

A few days ago I noticed a birds nest in the wheel well of my Dad's truck. At the time there wasn't anything in it so I figured it was abandoned. In any case I left it alone and told my Pops.

Well wouldn't you know.. it wasn't abandoned after all and a couple of days later we found this.

Sad to say, we had to carefully move the nest and placed it on the ground near by. High hopes that it's mum will return. We we're extra cautious to wear gloves and never touched the egg. Sometimes 1 really is the loneliest number 🐦🥚

In my journey of learning more about my passion for permaculture, I've decided to launch a series that will help me and my followers grow together.

Have you ever wondered what those crazy plant obsessed gardeners mean when they use the term variegated?

I'll be the first to admit that I used it for years before actually looking up the full definition of the word. To put it simply, it is a plant with more than one color on its leaves.

This can often be found on tropical/indoor plants like "Tradescantia Zebrina" or the well known hearty "Hosta" perennial.

CLOSE UP!!!!

Collected these seeds last autumn from my garden! Getting ready to start my seeds inside, but I'll save a few to plant directly into the soil outside and then compare which one grew better. Can't wait to see the results. Let the planting begin!
