There is something about this time of year that invites reflection. April brings growth, nourishment, and that quiet preparation before everything begins to bloom.

It reminds me how much beauty we can create when we are intentional with how we live, how we design, and who we trust to bring it all together.

I recently met with a client as we begin our second project together, and she shared how excited she feels every time we work together. How fun the process is. How she feels truly understood in her vision.

That stayed with me. Because when there is trust and alignment, everything flows.

This small corner of our charming river project is a perfect example. What was once a desk that no longer served the family has been reimagined into a warm, functional coffee nook they can enjoy every day.

Simple shifts, done with intention, can completely transform how a home feels.

When I design a space I always consider three key elements.

First is the energy and flow of the room. How you move through the space. The balance. The feng shui. The way the environment supports how you actually live.

Second is the design expression. The symmetry, scale, materials, colour and architectural details that bring the vision to life.

And third is the emotion we want the space to evoke.

Design should make you feel something.

When Joe and I designed Artisan’s Cove on Lake Erie, we wanted guests to feel like they had stepped into a beautiful art gallery on the water. A place where creativity, colour and texture surround you, while still feeling warm, comfortable and welcoming.

Every decision was intentional. The flow of the space. The vibrant art. The layers of texture. The balance between relaxation and excitement.

Our goal was simple.
Create a space that evokes happiness, peace, adventure and connection.

Because the best spaces do more than look beautiful.
They elevate how you feel when you are in them.

I was at a networking event in Chatham Kent recently and someone said to me, “I miss your design updates.”

It made me smile.

The truth is, I am still here. I am still creating. I am still pouring everything into the homes and families who trust me with their spaces.

What you may not always see is the site visits, the problem solving, the design decisions, the community events, the volunteering, the conversations, the layers that happen behind the scenes.

When I am quiet on here, it usually means I am fully in it.
Building. Designing. Serving. Growing.

I am so grateful for the projects we are leading right now and for the trust this community continues to place in me. It is not something I take lightly.

There are so many beautiful transformations I cannot wait to share.

It’s been a while since I shared a little more personally, and it feels like the right moment.

Behind the scenes, Liberty Interior Design is working on some truly beautiful projects, many inspired by water, movement, and intentional living. We’re deep in new builds, expanding our reach, and feeling more creatively aligned than ever.

At the same time, High Vibe Living continues to shape how I approach design, business, and life. I’m feeling increasingly called to intentional design that supports not just how a space looks, but how it feels to live there. That integration is influencing everything I create, from homes to conversations, including some very exciting upcoming guests on the High Vibe Living podcast.

We made it to Friday. And if this week felt heavier than expected, you’re not alone. As we head toward the holidays, it’s a good reminder that taking care of yourself always comes first.

This was a tough week on my end, navigating illness and the realities of running a business with a small team. I’m grateful for the flexibility this work allows, but weeks like this remind me how important rest and support truly are.

Here’s to slowing down, listening to your body, and heading into the weekend ready to rest and reconnect. Happy Friday

The entryway sets the tone for everything that follows. During the holidays especially, it becomes the place where coats are dropped, guests gather, and memories begin. Thoughtful storage, intentional design, and a welcoming flow allow a space like this to feel both beautiful and functional from the moment you walk through the door.

Just a fun little before and after reveal as a gift moving into the weekend.

This project was a blast! I helped my client’s vision come to life and then her and her entire family assembled and installed the cabinetry!

It’s amazing what can happen with a little help from our friends…. And a visionary interior designer. 😉
