Each sachet gradually releases beneficial predatory mites over 4 weeks. Hang sachets in the plant canopy (avoid direct sunlight) and let them go to work. A self-contained breeding system ensures steady, consistent release.

๐ŸŒฑ Curious about mycorrhizal fungi but not sure how to use them effectively?

๐ŸŒฟ Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form symbiotic relationships with plant rootsโ€”extending their reach into the soil to improve ๐Ÿ’ง water and ๐Ÿงช nutrient access, especially phosphorus.

๐Ÿ“– In our latest blog, we break down:
โ€ข What AMF actually do in living soil
โ€ข Which crops benefit most
โ€ข Why phosphorus uptake improves with AMF
โ€ข The best way to apply AMF at transplant

๐Ÿ’š Our AMF inoculant is 20% off until Feb 15.

๐ŸŒฑ Curious about mycorrhizal fungi but not sure how to use them effectively?

In our latest blog, we explain how arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi work in living soil and how to apply them properly at transplant.

Our AMF is 20% off until Feb 15th

Mycorrhizal fungi enhance nutrient uptake, strengthen plant roots, and improve soil health. This step-by-step guide explains how to apply them in living soil, which plants benefit most, and why soil biology matters for sustainable, organic growing.

Mealybugs can be a tropical houseplant collectorโ€™s demise. They come in on newly purchased plant material and begin feeding and laying eggs in the plant's darkest crevices. Due to this habit, light infestations are overlooked. A more infested plant will look like the attached photo. In situations like this, we recommend the product Cryptobug โ€“L (Cryptolaemus montrouzieri). This predatory bug is the Mealybug destroyer. It actively feeds on large mealybug infestations drastically decreasing their population.

Activating Effective Microorganisms is a fermentation process, similar to making wine or yougurt. In order to have ready to use effective microbes, We activate small batches using a patented Microbial Consortia (mother culture) featuring enhanced levels of Phototrophic, Purple Non-Sulfur Bacteria (PNSB) combines with organic unsulfered blackstrap molasses and dechorinated water. Activation takes 2-4 weeks at a controlled temperature of 22-26 C

As a live probiotic product, every batch of Activated EM is a little different. We paitinetly wait for the PH to drop below 3.8 and the fermentation to settle down before bottling. We then bottle it fresh, so you may find it a bit fizzy on arrival, if thats the case loosen the cap to let the gas escape, then close again tightly.

The lactic acid bacteria are the is the first to become active and will create a white film at the top of the liquid capturing bubbles formed from the fermentation. Ye**ty white flakes also develop and float on the surface. The photosynthetic bacteria are the last to awaken near the end of the fermentation.

During this process we are cultivating several sets of microbes including:

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปNon-Spore Forming Lactic Acid Bacteria like: Bifidobacterium animalis, B. bifidum, B. longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, L. delbrueckii subsp bulgaricus, L. fermentum, L. plantarum, Lactococcus lactis subsp lactis, Streptococcus thermophilus

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปSpore forming bacteria like: Bacillus subtilis & Actinomycetes

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปFermemtitive Fungi aka yeasts: Saccharomyces cerevisiae,

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปPhototrophic Bacteria (Purple Non-Sulfur Bacteria): Rhodopseudomonas palustris and R. sphaeroides

The Spical/Swirski Ulti-Mite Sachet Combo Pack is the perfect size for the home grower. It comes with two types of predatory mites; Neoseiulus californicus and Amblyseius swirskii. These slow release sachets are best used as a preventative treatment.

Ulti-Mite sachets are a great choice for low relative humidity conditions, situations where the sachet will be directly exposed to water ๐Ÿ’ฆ(overhead watering, rain etc.), or when you need protection from high air flow from circulation fans. They can be used on cannabis, housplants & ornamentals, to protect against a variety of pests including Spider mites, Thrips, Whitefly, Broad mite, and Russet mites. bug

The Ulti-Mite sachets are made out of a climate resistant material that protects the breeding system inside from the type of environmental conditions explained above. Thats right these sachets are a complete breeding system, Each Ulti-Mite sachet contains a bran carrier material that grows a fungus which in turn is food for a type of feeder mite, who in turn is food for the predatory mite. 5-10 predators will emerge from each sachet on a daily basis for 4 weeks. Replace monthly to keep your plants defences up.
