Even though the weather has not been great I still have a bunch of things growing here on the farm. 10 Year old lemon tree from seed which I've gotten 4 lemons from so far just last year. 40 year old jade that finally gets moved back to the greenhouse for the summer. Concord seedless Grapes are in full swing and I should get a great harvest this year. 7 types of tomatoes started for this growing season as well as red peppers and Jalapeño and lets not forget cucumbers, pumpkins and sunflowers. Garlic is way ahead for this time of year and I have 1800 in the ground coving 5 different yypes. Happy growing evreyone.

Hey folks, Going to be closing early tomorrow Saturday the 16th for the May 24 weekend. I'll be at the shop till 2:30 then I'll be heading off for some much needed R and R. Have a great long weekend and be safe.

Garlic is off to a good start this year. Top dressed with kelp again this year. This is my 5th year using only kelp on my raised beds and I'm super impressed with the outcome. Kelp is great for a bunch of different reasons.
1. Acts as a time release fertilizer over the growing season.
2. Acts as a great w**d suppressant.
3. Helps the soil retain moisture on the hot days so you don't have to be constantly watering your beds.
4. About as close as you can get to organic.
I have 1800 garlic planted this year with 5 different varieties.
Usually harvest at the end of July and then I still have time to plant carrots in the beds for a late carrot harvest.
