Hey y'all! With both high community and transmission levels in Knott and surrounding counties, I'm going to cancel the in-person class on Fall Gardens we were going to have Wednesday evening.

Instead, Wednesday (tomorrow) evening 6-7pm, I'll be on the front porch of the Settlement School for folks to pick up fertilizer, feather meal, and information on how to grow a fall garden and on ways to extend your growing season.

I'll also be sure to post some info to this page on what you can do for your fall garden now!

TWO workshops for this month coming up!

This week, Wildlife Management on Weds, July 13th and next week Fall Gardens on Weds, July 20th.

Chad and Kelsey will have tons of info, tips, and tricks to help you out in the garden!

Limited wildlife management materials and Mountain Pride fertilizer will be handed out to workshop attendees. Workshops are free and open to all.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing how those gardens are going!

Knott Co. Cooperate Extension Agent Chad Conway will be presenting on all you need to know when it comes to taking care of and managing your garden this season.

We'll have limited supply of organic pest control to hand out to workshop attendees!

We're here to help you get that garden growin'!

First Community Meeting tomorrow! All are welcome! I'm going to be going through some hillside gardening, trellising techniques, tomato pruning, and whatever else folks may need help with.

We also have extra warm season plants for any folks who still need to pick up 🍅🥬 and plenty of seeds for starting those summer squash, cucumbers, melons, okra, corn, and so much more!

Coffee and breakfast cookies made by beloved Diane here at the Hindman Settlement School will be provided ❤️
