Quick question for Edmonton homeowners:

Are your gutters overflowing right now during the melt?

If yes — where is the water going?

A) Away from the house
B) Pooling near the foundation
C) Not sure

Drop A, B, or C below 👇

(If it’s B or C… there’s a good chance that’s what’s causing your water issues.)

A lot of homeowners try this first:

✔️ clean the gutters
✔️ add a cheap extension
✔️ hope it fixes the problem

…and sometimes it helps.

But if water is STILL:
– pooling around your home
– overflowing during rain or melt
– showing up in your basement

Then the issue usually isn’t just “clogged gutters”

It’s:
• improper slope
• bad drainage setup
• or water not being directed far enough away

That’s why it keeps coming back every spring.

If you want it fixed properly (not temporarily), send me a message.

A small gutter problem can turn into a BIG bill.

Every spring we see it:

Water overflows → pools around the foundation → ends up in the basement.

What starts as:
“just a bit of water”

Turns into:
• foundation issues
• mold
• expensive repairs

Most of the time, the warning signs were already there:
– overflowing gutters
– water dripping where it shouldn’t
– pooling near the house

If you’re seeing any of that right now, don’t wait.

Fixing the cause early is WAY cheaper than fixing the damage later.

If you’re not sure what’s going on, I can help you figure it out.

Edmonton spring melt is HARD on older homes.

And most people don’t realize their gutters aren’t working properly until this exact moment.

We’ve already seen this a lot this season:
• gutters overflowing during the day
• water refreezing at night
• pooling around foundations
• basement leaks showing up out of nowhere

The tricky part?

Everything can look “fine” — until the snow melts.

If your home is:
✔️ 15+ years old
✔️ showing water around the foundation
✔️ or having issues during melt

It’s worth getting it looked at BEFORE it turns into a bigger repair.

We focus on fixing water problems at the source.

Message me if you want me to take a look.

If water is getting into your basement right now…

There’s a good chance your gutters are part of the problem.

Most homeowners think it’s:
❌ foundation issues
❌ cracks in the concrete
❌ “just how old homes are”

But what we see over and over in Edmonton is this:

Water is being dumped right beside the house because:
• gutters are clogged
• slope is off
• downspouts aren’t draining far enough away

So every time snow melts or it rains…
it goes straight toward your foundation.

That’s why you’re seeing:
– water stains
– damp walls
– pooling near the house

The good news? It’s usually fixable.

If you want a second opinion, send me a message. Happy to help.

Your house was fine all winter…

So why is your basement suddenly leaking right now?

This is one of the most common calls we get every spring in Edmonton.

Here’s what’s actually happening:
• Snow is melting fast
• The ground is still frozen
• Water has nowhere to go
• Your gutters overflow and dump water beside your foundation

And that’s when the problems start.

If you’re seeing:
– Water pooling around your home
– Gutters overflowing during melt or rain
– Damp spots or leaks in the basement

Don’t ignore it — this gets worse fast.

We fix the ROOT cause so you don’t deal with this again next spring.

Send me a message or comment “SPRING” and I’ll take a look.

A lot of people think new gutters = problem solved.

Not always.

If the wood behind them is already damaged, or the install isn’t done right, you’re going to have the same issue again.

We see it all the time.

Gutters are only part of the system.
If water is already getting behind them, you need to fix the root of the problem.

That’s why we handle more than just the gutter itself.

If you want it done once and done right, that part matters.

If you’re not sure what condition yours are in, we can take a look.

Got called out for what the homeowner thought was a simple gutter issue.

It wasn’t.

Once we got into it, there was already rot behind the fascia from water getting in over time.

This is the part most people never see.

And it’s why quick fixes don’t always solve the real problem.

We replaced the damaged wood and fixed the gutter properly so it actually does its job.

If something seems off with your gutters, it’s worth taking a closer look.

Small problems don’t stay small for long.

A $200 fix can turn into a $2,000 problem real fast.

We see it all the time.

A gutter gets clogged or starts pulling away.
Water goes where it shouldn’t.
And before you know it, you’re dealing with rotten wood and repairs that could’ve been avoided.

The frustrating part?

Most of it is preventable.

Gutters aren’t something you think about… until they start causing damage.

If it’s been a while since yours were checked, now’s a good time.

Message us or visit 👉https://www.catchitall.ca👈 before it gets expensive.

Most homeowners don’t know their gutters are failing until it’s already causing damage.

Here are 3 signs to look for:

1) Water spilling over the sides during rain
2) Gutters pulling away from the house
3) Peeling paint or soft wood near the roofline

If you see any of these, your gutters aren’t doing their job.

And the longer it sits, the more expensive it gets.

We see this every week in Edmonton.

Sometimes it’s a simple fix. Sometimes there’s more going on behind it.

Either way, it’s better to catch it early.
