Painted Lady runner beans - New this year!!! ☀️must have these show stoppers in your garden! 🌸🌿 Create a hummerbird and pollinator haven.

These 10 foot climbers aren’t just productive—they’re stunning - bi-colour red-and-white blooms, they bring serious charm before turning into long, tender pods you can harvest all season long.

✨ Care tips:
– Give them something tall to climb (they LOVE a trellis or fence)
– Full sun = more flowers + beans
– Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy
– Pick often to keep them producing

Bonus: the flowers attract pollinators, so your whole garden benefits 🐝

Growing food that’s this beautiful just hits different 💫

This quirky little beauty gets its name from the bright, fish-shaped blooms that pop out like tiny orange goldfish swimming through glossy green leaves. It’s a total conversation starter—and surprisingly easy to care for once you know its vibe.

✨ Care tips:
• Light: Bright, indirect light is best—think near a window but not in harsh sun
• Water: Keep soil lightly moist, but don’t let it sit soggy
• Humidity: Loves a little extra moisture in the air (it’s a tropical at heart)
• Temperature: Keep it warm and cozy—no cold drafts
• Bonus: Trim it back to keep it full and encourage more blooms

With the right care, this plant will reward you with playful, vibrant flowers that feel like a little underwater world… right in your home.

That oversized zucchini might look impressive, but it can actually reduce production 😅🌱 Picking often tells many plants to keep flowering, fruiting, and growing.

Shhhhh. . . Our pollinators are still in a critical deep rest. 🐛 Although the weather is beautiful, we need to protect these important garden friends. We need patience—most of these critters are using that winter leaf layer and this warm weather to shelter and hatch.

A good rule of thumb:

* Wait until consistent spring temperatures are about 10 °C (50 °F) or warmer for a couple of weeks before disturbing anything

Why that timing matters:

* Many pollinators (like native bees and butterflies) overwinter as eggs, larvae, or pupae in leaf litter and topsoil
* They don’t all emerge on the first warm day—some take weeks of steady warmth
* Moving leaves or turning soil too early can kill or expose themselves. If you want to be extra careful:

* Move leaves gradually instead of all at once
* Check for visible cocoons or insects before disturbing piles
* Consider leaving some areas (edges, garden beds) untouched all season as “bug habitat”

It’s not about never cleaning up—it’s about giving the ecosystem time to wake up first. See you soon 👩🏻‍🌾 🐝 🐞 🐜
