Here’s a way to make cleaning up feel much easier, natural, and less overwhelming: tackle it little by little as you go! For example, if you have a dirty dish in your bedroom and you’re already heading to the kitchen, take it with you. You’re going there anyways! Building small habits like this over time keeps things from piling up and helps maintain a tidy space without it feeling like a chore. Little actions can make a big difference!

When it comes to organizing your home, the most important thing you can do is work WITH your brain, not against it. Social media, friends, and family can offer great tips, but everyone’s brain works differently. What works for them might not work for you, and that’s okay! Designing systems that fit yours and your family's needs is the key to making life easier. Let’s explore ways to create systems that fit your brain’s unique strengths:

🌟 Identify the problematic patterns.
Take a moment to observe where you or your family are struggling to maintain good habits, then build solutions that complement your brain’s strengths and your energy levels.

🌟 Keep it simple.
The simpler the solution, the easier it is to stick with. Complicated systems may look great on TikTok (looking at you "everything in labeled glass jars" trend 👀), but if they don’t fit your brain, they may not stick as easily.

🌟 Forget societal norms.
This is your home. You don’t have to follow traditional rules if they make your life harder. Do what feels right for YOU.

Examples:
💡 If hanging up shirts feels overwhelming, skip it! Just toss them in a drawer (no folding required). Don’t let a couple wrinkles stress you out, keep it simple!
💡 Does your partner always lose their keys? Set up a designated spot, like a key hanger or bowl by the door. Over time, it’ll become second nature.
💡 If your kids are leaving backpacks or coats all over the house, set up an easily accessible hook or basket by the door to keep things organized and prevent tripping accidents.
