We are located in Northeast Edmonton and have been in business for 25 years. At Arrowhead Nurseries our goal is to grow quality plants that are Alberta hardy. We propagate our own trees, shrubs and perennials so they are suitable for our northern region. That includes grafting our own fruit, flowering crabs, and a host more of deciduous trees and shrubs.

The Blues Weeping Colorado Spruce.

Ever wondered how we ship orders. Our staff swing around with a vehicle and a wagon picking the material out of its designated growing/holding area and load it onto our customers vehicle(or our depending on if we are doing a delivery). Smaller vehicles allow for easier access and mobility and allow for larger growing areas.

This is what an ornamental tree nursery looks like from above...
Gaps are left in the field to allow for equipment to access certain material that reaches a saleable size a little bit sooner. Some of the larger nurseries don't leave these gaps because they harvest entire rows at a time. Additionally you'll see some grass/cover crops between long term rows to prevent weeds growing, increase organic matter, and decrease erosion.
