Your bathroom needs extra attention.
Now that I have yours, lets get to step #2 ๐
Bathrooms are now being used all day by family members who used to leave to go to work or school, so clean touchpoints frequently: faucets, light switches and doorknobs. Towels are getting used more than ever. Change out bath towels every few days, and hand and dish towels every other day. Make sure to hang towels up between uses so they dry.
At this point in the game, itโs time to clean your sink! To start with, pour baking soda or vinegar down the drain and flush with plenty of piping-hot water.
Then, use disinfectant wipes to wipe down the faucet, drain, and surrounding area โ not only will this help get things sparkling clean, itโll also get rid of any lingering bacteria. Be sure to pay special attention to your sink drain during this process; this is the #1 spot for highest bacteria count in your bathroom.
Next to the toilet, the shower tends to be everyoneโs least favorite spot to clean. You dont necessarily need to "scrub" away at the shower walls and bathtub. Make sure to liberally spray all surfaces and let it sit for 5 minutes. If you use bar soap you may have a build up so a soft scrub pad can take the gunk off, otherwise give everything a wipe down with a damp cloth!
Now itโs onto the main event: the dreaded toilet. Cleaning your toilet doesnโt have to be a painful process, though โ not when you do things as efficiently as possible.
First, put some gloves on if you havenโt already. Take a paper towel or microfiber cloth and wipe down the tank, flusher, lid, and the top and bottom of the rim.
Then, wipe down the base and area behind the toilet โ this area often gets neglected during regular cleaning sessions, so itโs important to get it nice and clean. Itโs important to remember that bacteria buildup happens easily in the bathroom, which is why you want to pay special attention to hard-to-reach nooks and crannies, to keep this from happening.
Next, take your toilet bowl brush and scrub the bowl as thoroughly as possible. Once youโre done, flush and close the lid!
Congrats, youโre almost done! Once youโve thoroughly cleaned everything, itโs time to sweep the floors, collecting any debris thatโs left over from your cleaning binge. Give a quick mop and WASH YOUR HANDS!

Be safe! ๐
