๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒฟYour home is probably your single largest investment. Maintaining its surfaces is essential to maintaining its overall value. Tiles, countertops, furniture, floors, walls, baseboards, and built-insโ€“all of these surfaces need regular cleanings to prevent wear and tear from progressing much faster than it normally would.

Many cleaning services offer customized cleaning for a minimum time and charge. If you generally spend every Saturday cleaning, then think about how you could spend that Saturday if it was given back to you.

The time that you budget for a cleaning service is time that you give back to yourself and your family. That time isnโ€™t just valuableโ€“itโ€™s priceless.

Hiring a housecleaner may seem like a luxury, but itโ€™s actually a smart, money-wise decision in the long run. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒฟ

Five years ago, I started my business.
It hasnโ€™t been easy, but it was without a doubt the best career decision Iโ€™ve ever made.
Nothing beats being your own boss, doing what you enjoy and are passionate about, making a decent income by actually offering value to others and having free time whenever you feel like. Itโ€™s freedom in so many ways.
It may take some hard work, probably money to begin with, a lot of time, dedication, unexpected problems and moments when youโ€™ll be on the verge of giving up. But what doesnโ€™t?
Everything great requires these things and the result, if achieved, is tremendous and totally worth fighting for.
I also think itโ€™s a win-win situation. It helps you, your clients (because youโ€™re more motivated than ever to satisfy their needs considering the fact that their money go directly into your pocket), society (because you offer value) and economics in general.
It is indeed risky, scary, stressful and at times seems impossible. But itโ€™s also adventurous, brave, creative, beneficial, meaningful and is the only way for you to have freedom, independence and happiness while supporting your family and helping others.
I just wanted to share this new advertising that my friend Michelle made me for my car and Im over the moon with how fantastic it shows and cant wait to see the possibility of future growth!
A huge thank you for those who have been with me through this journey! Heres to another 5 in the making! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’•

Happy Thursday! ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒบ

Lets talk about some easy monthly maintenance ideas for your home!

Inside your duct system, fine dust collects on air duct surfaces, vents, motors, and coils. These flakes of dead skin, hair, and pet dander catch onto the dust, and before too long this process creates a dense, mat-like environment where bacteria, mold, dust mites, and allergens can thrive.๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ˜ท

While most furnace filters only need to be changed every 3 months, you should always check once a month. By checking once a month, you'll be able to determine if your filter is clear enough to continue to filter the dust and particles from your air โ€“ and prevent those expensive breakdowns. Also consider having your furnace and duct work cleaned this spring! ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒฟ

Checking your smoke detectors is very important, I usually set a reminder to test the batteries at the end of the month, either on my phone or write it on the calendar for the year so I dont forget. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ—“

If you want to test a smoke detector, find the test button on the front or side of the unit. Push and hold the button for a few seconds to ensure the alarm sounds. If it doesn't, you may need to replace the batteries or have an electrician check the wiring in the detector. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ฏ

For minimum coverage, have at least one smoke detector or alarm on every level of your home and in every sleeping area. You can also add alarms to hallways outside every bedroom, the top and bottom of all stairways, and often-forgotten places such as basements, attics, utility rooms, and garages. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ

ITS THE WEEKEND!!! โค๐Ÿ˜Ž
Ok so just in case you werent sure of the day.. that was just a little announcement for your information. Hahah

Just as you would regularly vacuum the floor and dust your furniture inside your house, you should keep your patio clean so it's ready at a moments notice to entertain. Start in early spring with a complete cleaning.

Remove all the furniture, the grill, container plants and accessories. Give the patio a good sweeping and washing. Wash cushions and furniture frames with mild soap and clean water. Let cushions dry completely before replacing them on the furniture to prevent mildew from growing.

Use auto polish on metal frames to make them shine. Use a glass cleaner on glass tabletops and donโ€™t forget to clean the glass on the windows of your outdoor lanterns so the light shines through. Use a degreaser on grill grates and the outside of stainless steel grills.
Open your umbrella and wash the fabric with mild soap and water and use a household oil on any moving parts to keep them working well.โ›ฑ๐Ÿ”ซ๐Ÿ› ๐ŸŽ

Remove and discard any old potting soil from planters and clean the insides of pots with a bleach and water solution to kill any insects or bacteria that may have over wintered in the pots. Fill with fresh potting soil and put in new plants (remember zone 3 rules-plant around May long, otherwise have a plan to cover your plants at night) ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒบ

Make it fun and get your children, spouse, family involved(social distance safe) and then reward them with a nice kick-off party or barbecue to celebrate all their hard work! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒž๐Ÿโค

Well no better time than today to post tip #3! ๐Ÿ

Rather than watch dust gather, it's important to stay active through exercise and daily activities. You can also use some of that pent-up energy productively, and dig into a few Spring Cleaning jobs!

Today's task...which can be started tomorrow...is cleaning the dishwasher ๐Ÿ™„ Yay!! I know youre excited, I just did mine 2 days ago and it brought so much joy along with a few choice words! I took every movable part out of the bottom of the machine to soak in the sink while I wiped out the sides and bottom of the machine but while reinstalling I had ONE screw I couldnt quite line up!!! My motto by the time i was finished... "It cant be easy!!" UGH! ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

So moving along....You should give your dishwasher a good cleaning once or twice a year to prevent mineral deposits and hard water stains, as well as musty odors from accumulated grease, food debris, and soap scum. Most new-model dishwashers have a manual-clean filter that also needs to be regularly cleaned out to avoid drainage problems and foul odors.

Consult your machine's manual for any special tips or warranty statements before starting.

Remove the bottom dish rack from the machine, and clear out any food residue or other obstacles caught in the dishwasher drain, to improve drainage flow and increase cleaning efficiency. If possible, remove the filter system (look for a center cylinder to unscrew for removal), and spray thoroughly with household cleaner like Fantastic . Then use a stiff, non-metallic brush to dislodge any bits of food, greasy buildup, and other material. Rinse thoroughly and replace it.

To clean the interior, spray your cleaner on the walls, dish rack, spray arm, and drain. Let the product sit for 3 minutes to work into hard water deposits, then scrub the entire surface with a wet, non-abrasive scrubbing pad. Lift the spray arm off its base, scrub thoroughly with your brush, and unclog any plugged holes using a toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly before reinstalling.

Look inside the fridge....humor me...see that bottle of lemon juice?? Yeah grab that...and pour a bunch in the bottom of the machine....trust me...then run a full hot wash cycle on your empty dishwasher with 1 FULL CUP of vinegar in the top rack, If necessary, repeat this step.

Youre done!! GOLD STAR! โญ Not only is your machine going to smell lemony fresh but it will do a more efficient job on keeping your dishes shiny and clean!

Be back tomorrow! Hope you are all staying safe! ๐Ÿ’•

Your bathroom needs extra attention.
Now that I have yours, lets get to step #2 ๐Ÿ˜

Bathrooms are now being used all day by family members who used to leave to go to work or school, so clean touchpoints frequently: faucets, light switches and doorknobs. Towels are getting used more than ever. Change out bath towels every few days, and hand and dish towels every other day. Make sure to hang towels up between uses so they dry.

At this point in the game, itโ€™s time to clean your sink! To start with, pour baking soda or vinegar down the drain and flush with plenty of piping-hot water.
Then, use disinfectant wipes to wipe down the faucet, drain, and surrounding area โ€“ not only will this help get things sparkling clean, itโ€™ll also get rid of any lingering bacteria. Be sure to pay special attention to your sink drain during this process; this is the #1 spot for highest bacteria count in your bathroom.

Next to the toilet, the shower tends to be everyoneโ€™s least favorite spot to clean. You dont necessarily need to "scrub" away at the shower walls and bathtub. Make sure to liberally spray all surfaces and let it sit for 5 minutes. If you use bar soap you may have a build up so a soft scrub pad can take the gunk off, otherwise give everything a wipe down with a damp cloth!

Now itโ€™s onto the main event: the dreaded toilet. Cleaning your toilet doesnโ€™t have to be a painful process, though โ€“ not when you do things as efficiently as possible.
First, put some gloves on if you havenโ€™t already. Take a paper towel or microfiber cloth and wipe down the tank, flusher, lid, and the top and bottom of the rim.
Then, wipe down the base and area behind the toilet โ€“ this area often gets neglected during regular cleaning sessions, so itโ€™s important to get it nice and clean. Itโ€™s important to remember that bacteria buildup happens easily in the bathroom, which is why you want to pay special attention to hard-to-reach nooks and crannies, to keep this from happening.
Next, take your toilet bowl brush and scrub the bowl as thoroughly as possible. Once youโ€™re done, flush and close the lid!

Congrats, youโ€™re almost done! Once youโ€™ve thoroughly cleaned everything, itโ€™s time to sweep the floors, collecting any debris thatโ€™s left over from your cleaning binge. Give a quick mop and WASH YOUR HANDS!

If you have any questions on the products I use or need some direction you can always give me a shout! See you tomorrow for tip #3!
Be safe! ๐Ÿ’•

04/19/2020

Hello everybody,

I hope you and your family have been staying safe over this last while. Its been a great change of events and with that I havent ventured out of my house much either. Right now, our homes are our safe havens. They keep us protected, healthy, and hopefully virus-freeโ€”even if they can get pretty boring at times. But in order to make sure that our homes remain safe sanctuaries, it means that we have to maintain their cleanliness every single day, too.

So thinking about what WE can do while at home, to assist in keeping a routine plus keeping those germs at bay, Ive decided to come up with one idea a day for all of us to try and implement.

#1 Pay attention to heavily touched surfaces like TV remotes, doorknobs, light switches, or cell phones. I recommend you first spray a cloth and wipe them down to remove dirt and debris. One wipe down isnโ€™t enough though so try and clean them multiple times a day if you can. Then, follow up with a sanitizer or disinfectant, like Lysol spray or wipes. Itโ€™s important to read the directions on your cleaning products. Never mix cleaners.

Just start with this simple task. Tomorrow Ill be back to post your next challenge. BE SAFE! ๐Ÿ’•
