WIT Maintenance has in the last couple Years advertised in my community as “Handyman Services” as well as connecting with SEESA (South east Edmonton Seniors association) MWSA (Millwoods Seniors Association) and The Seniors Home Supports program.
This Has turned into a rewarding small Business, My little Family is thankful we have been not gone without, but the reward truly comes from the relationships I build with the Seniors and Their families in my community. My focus is to help keep My Elderly Friends in their homes as long as that is possible, if I can assist With and NOT limited to :

Day to day & Seasonal maintenance (Summer/Winter/ trees-lawns-roto till-leafs-Eaves-fences-decks….)
Repairs (I prefer repairs to renovations)
Home safety and security,
Downsizing- Antique and Collectable Value Research and Sales / Rehoming/ donating furniture ( Home Clear Outs)
Some demolition ( old sheds/fences/decks/
Again, Not limited to ^^ so if it isn’t listed please ask, I likely do that too.

I will always do the best of my ability, I’ll be fair and Honest. I provide a Seniors Rate of $45.00 Per hour for all maintenance and in special circumstances I can be hired as a labourer for a days wage.

$200.00-$220.00/ Monthly Snow Removal to the concrete all season.

What I will continue to do is go beyond in any way I can in my ability to help.

Just a bit of what’s been happening th last couple weeks. A bunch of painting, couple new faucet installs and door trouble.. good prep for the upcoming gate and fence repair season!

With all of this seasons snow removal and a bit of roof raking it’s been busy!
I don’t always stop to take photos..but here is a couple.

From replacing the rotten floor under a toilet, adding some height to the front stairs for a temporary fix till they replace the stairs.

Repaired a bunch of toilets from wax rings and fill valves to installing new raised toilets for some seniors.

I am now a registered contractor with South East Edmonton Seniors Association, what does that mean? Criminal record check and vulnerable sector to ensure our seniors remain safe and can trust me.

I am committed to assisting Seniors staying in their homes as long as possible.

Even if all you need is pulling the fridge out so you can do the yearly clean, I am here to help.

Roof Raking For Hire

I can come to your house and take off the first couple/ few feet of snow with a Roof Rake from the ground level. I am not able to do two stories, raised bungalows I can do front and rear but can not guarantee a full 3-4 feet as the sides are usually tight 1-2 feet and all drifts I can get usually. I may need access to your neighbours property. No sense anyone falling off of the roof

Pro tip…house love

We have been in a deep freeze for two weeks. And tons of snow. Stark warming Monday.
This is a formula that demands roof care.

Starting Monday the heat from the sun will melt the snow right around your gutters, near the soffits. That will freeze creating a thick bump of ice. That ice creates a dam and that dam builds and builds. The water behind it has to go somewhere and that might be in your house.
This all depends on…
Age of your home, insulation in attic, air circulation in attic, insulation stops in your attic, age of shingles, whether shingler installed ice guard and proper flashing ( ya get what ya pay for), slope (pitch) of roof.
Solution….….get out there and pull down 2’ of snow from around the house. You can buy a weird shovel from Canadian tire for this, or use a shovel. And you need someone holding the ladder. I do it from the ground with a long handled puller thing. Or hire a kid to do it.

Bottom line? Go outside and take a boo at your roof. Give it some love. — borrowedfrom David C Dorward.
