Fox Custom Woodworks

Fox Custom Woodworks Handcrafted cabinetry and millwork — built for homes across the GTA and Southern Ontario. Est. 2008.

Fox Custom Woodworks is a family-owned cabinet and millwork shop based in Erin, Ontario. We've been building by hand since 2008 — kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, mudrooms, home offices, closets, and one-of-a-kind pieces for homes across the GTA and Southern Ontario. Every project starts with a detailed line-by-line quote and full 3D drawings before anything moves to the shop. Nothing gets built un

til you've approved exactly how it will look. Our dedicated installer handles every job start to finish, and we stand behind our work long after we've left the site. If you're working on a renovation and want cabinetry built the right way — we'd love to talk.

We had the opportunity to do something a little different - a custom exterior post and railing in pine to match the customers existing that had been damaged over time.

She already had the vanity. She just needed it to do more. 💄

The existing fluted vanity in this ensuite was beautiful — but there was a dead corner beside it going to waste. We built out a floating makeup station and extra storage, colour-matched the painted finish exactly, added glass countertops, and replaced all the pulls with brushed gold edge hardware to tie the whole suite together.

What's one space in your home that could work a lot harder than it does?

A full wall built-in for a beautiful home in Hillsburgh, Ontario.

Benjamin Moore Gray Owl finish, touch-latch doors throughout (no hardware), open shelving on both sides, lower cabinet and drawer storage, and a centre niche sized to the TV. The unit runs the full width of the wall — the kind of project that takes real planning to get right.

We built this one in collaboration with Simon Jones Contracting. Great project, great result.

If you're thinking about a built-in for your home — living room, office, bedroom, wherever — reach out. We work with homeowners across the GTA and surrounding areas and build everything custom to your space.

Two rooms. One designer with a vision we were glad to build.✨

This primary ensuite vanity is rift cut white oak with a custom warm stain — flat grain panels on the drawer fronts, rattan inset on the upper cabinet doors. The countertop is Kstone Gold Statuario.

The headboard next door was a different challenge. MDF, fully custom, with compound curves that had to land perfectly — the upholsterer can't fix a frame that isn't right.

Two tones. One kitchen. Here's how it came together in Toronto's Junction.

Farrow & Ball Shaded White on the uppers, and Railings on the lowers and pantry wall. Honed Bianco Gioia marble from floor to ceiling behind the range. Built-in appliances, faucets, under-cabinet LED lighting, and thin 1" shaker doors that keep the whole thing from being fussy.

The island is worth a closer look: specifically wanted the countertop to overhang the side panel rather than mitre into a standard waterfall. It's a small detail that changes the whole feeling of the piece.

Two-tone kitchens are the most common conversation we're having with clients right now. This is a good example of why.

Which finish pulls you in more — the dark lowers and pantry or the Shaded White uppers? 👇

Stock cabinets don’t have these details…

Three things that don’t show up in a showroom photo — but you’ll notice every single day once they’re in your home.

The upgraded dovetail drawer box built to last decades.

The vanity stained to match existing furniture already in the room — not close, not “similar enough,” exact.

The drawer that closes itself because it’s supposed to.

This is what custom actually means.
Built right here in Erin, Ontario.

White oak or painted? It's the most difficult question to answer before starting a new kitchen build these days!

There's no wrong answer; but there is a right answer for your space, your light, and how you actually use your kitchen. Swipe through to see both finishes across real Fox projects, then ask yourself which one you keep coming back to.
White oak is warm, textured, and forgiving. It gets better looking as it ages and works in almost any style of home. Painted gives you crispness, colour, and flexibility — and right now, two-tone kitchens are the most popular configuration we're building across the GTA.

Not all storage is created equal — especially when one drawer belongs to the dog. 🐾

This custom bedroom wardrobe in Erin, ON is finished in Sherwin Williams Shiitake with shaker doors featuring linen fabric insert panels for that extra layer of warmth and texture. Open it up and you’ve got open shelving, six birch ply interior drawers, and one very special pull-out at the base — built specifically as a dog bed.

Custom millwork should work for your whole family. Even the four-legged ones.

We love a project that lets the craftsmanship do the talking.

This dining room bar cabinet was built for a home in Hillsburgh, ON, and it's one of those pieces that stops people mid-conversation. Finished in Benjamin Moore Raintree Green with black aluminum-framed reeded glass upper doors and a built-in wine fridge tucked into the base — every detail was designed with intention.

One of our favourite features? There isn't a single handle on this piece. Every door and drawer operates on a touch latch system, so nothing interrupts the clean lines of the cabinet. The reeded glass gives just enough texture and privacy to make the bar feel curated rather than cluttered.

A great build alongside the team at Simon Jones Contracting.
