This was the first set of stairs and railing i did on my own in 2012. I tried to colour match the new oak stairs, landing and handrail to the original mahogany door and trim.

Made from 150 year old wall studs from a house in Brantford Ontario. Can not call them 2x4s. Some of them were 2 1/4" x 4" some were 2 1/8" x 4 1/8". The hand made square nails are still in it. Gives it a great look with the shiny metal in the top. 100% reclaimed materials. Including the fasteners accept the glue and finish.

A half an hour and some 75 year old lumber. Happy Thanksgiving.
