The dining room is making a comeback.

While open plan living has become the norm over the last decade, some of us are starting to crave a more intimate and cozy space that brings its own personality and identity to the home.

The dining room is making a return as the place to slow down, sit together, and create memories. This white oak custom built in with airy open shelving and glass front cabinetry provides ample storage for dinner party necessities, and the beautiful stone countertop functions as an additional serving area.

Thoughtful storage, beautiful design, and intentional spaces.

“ We want white cabinets. ”

Sounds simple, right? 🤍

But then comes the important part…

Warm white or cool white?
What are the undertones?
How will it look beside your wall colours, trim and flooring?
How does the lighting change? Cool northern light or warm southern exposure?
Choosing white cabinetry isn't just about picking a white. It's about finding the right white for your space.

The details make all the difference, and we love details.

We've definitely been quiet on social media these last few months, but that doesn't mean the work has. We have been blessed with a busy last few months, with jobs that have taken a lot of thought and planning behind the scenes. A few projects are nearing their end, and we hope to have some beautiful photos to share soon.
As always, thanks for being here and following along.

This walnut kitchen was designed to let the natural beauty of the wood do the talking. Clean lines, generous storage, and thoughtful details come together to create a space that feels warm, practical, and built to last.

What would you choose for your dream kitchen: natural wood or a painted finish?

Saturday morning coffee in this kitchen. Modern and elegant, inviting and cozy. This space proves that even gorgeous black walnut cabinets can be right at home in a smaller scale kitchen.

The appliance garage and pantry style upper cabinets frame the fridge and visually ground the space, creating a clean and clutter free view while still providing plenty of prep space.

We are beyond pleased with how this kitchen came out. Even more pleased that it was for our lovely, trusting clients A+L. 😊

A lot of local businesses hold a piece of this kitchen....
