No matter how many mantles I do I’m always nervous when it comes time to install. Hoping you measured everything right and didn’t overlook anything.

Mounting this one was a bit unique as there was a little cubby that would end up behind it. The clients didn’t want anything permanent or anything screwed to it leaving holes afterwards if they were to remove the mantle.

No problem! Hold my beer!

All jokes aside I am pretty please with how it turned out. First time doing a rustic/distressed look. Also the biggest mantle I have installed at 83” long!

Was going to wait and make a post once it was completely installed but I’m sitting here in my truck in Edmonton waiting to get loaded up with more lumber so I’ll just make a post now.

Had a lovely couple reach out looking to have a mantle made. Of course I’ve done lots. But this one was a bit different than I was used to doing. They wanted a more rustic/distressed look which I have never done before.

Watched a couple videos online and then went for it. Pretty impressed with how it turned out. Looks like one solid beam from the front! Used screws, nails, wire brush, grinder and more on this bad boy to give it this distressed look!

Unfortunately install will be next days off! Looking forward to seeing the final product all mounted up!

Applied some furniture oil on this beautiful dog urn. today. For this one we used solid walnut. I decided to use a lighter peice for the sides to give it some contrast. Gotta love finger joints as well! We were able to take his actual paw print and incorporate it into the design.

We also used a photo to laser the dog’s image on the front!
These custom items really make it that much more special!❤️

Haven’t posted in a bit but with good reason. Wanted to wait till I was finished this built!

Like most builds it had its challenges but in the end it was worth it!

This table is made with solid red oak stained with golden oak.
