Getting a leak during a warm spell feels backwards.
But it’s exactly what’s happening across the region right now.

If you own a low-slope roof, or any roof with poor drainage, now is the time to check your roof edges and penetrations for signs of ice damming and water buildup.

✔ Check for ice buildup around vents, skylights, and edges
✔ If safe to do so, shovel off heavy snow
✔ Let the wind and mild temps help dry it out while you still can

We’re seeing the same issue over and over again.
Snow melts, runs into blocked eaves or ice dams, then backs up under the shingles and into the home.

If it’s safe to do so, clear the snow before the next freeze hits.
Let the warm air and wind dry things out while you still have the chance.

One good check today can save you from a major headache next week.

This was our final roof of the season. It’s a clear reminder why hiring a skilled, experienced contractor matters.

Small mistakes on a roof don’t stay small for long. By the time we were called, this home had two active leaks, one in the kitchen and one in the shower, plus structural sagging in three gables.

What we found:
✔ Shingles lapped incorrectly
✔ Sheeting poorly fastened
✔ Flashing and venting all installed wrong
✔ Water damage and visible rot under the surface

What we did:
✔ Repaired and straightened the gables
✔ Removed the failed roofing system
✔ Strapped and converted the roof to metal
✔ Installed correct ridge venting and flashing throughout

The result is a strong, sealed roof that is built to last.

Roofs don’t forgive shortcuts. If something feels off, get it looked at before it turns into something bigger.

Cold floors.
High heating bills.

✔ Poor or missing insulation

For this project, we tackled the problem from underneath. We crawled into the crawlspace, properly insulated the foundation, and installed a full vapour barrier.
Here are some before and afters.

Small issues don’t stay small for long.

This roof needed replacing, but there were a few other things starting to cause problems:

✔ The chimney cap was worn out and letting moisture in
✔ The gables were starting to shift, all six needed straightening
✔ The chimney was solid but needed a bit of protection and cleanup, so we added cultured stone to dress it up and seal it properly

Left alone, these kinds of details can lead to leaks, water damage, structural shifting, and bigger bills down the road.

We took care of it all in one go.
New roof.

Sometimes one small change can completely shift the feel of a space.

This client wanted to bring more natural light into the room, so we added a new window. It was a quick project, but the difference it made was huge. Brightened things up and gave the whole room a fresh new energy.

Another one wrapped up. Simple, clean, and done right.

From the ground up, this space was designed for both durability and everyday use.

The wide concrete stairs create an easy, safe entrance to the basement, while the deck above adds outdoor living space the owners can make their own.

Our role was to deliver a solid, well-built foundation so they can confidently take over and add the finishing details.

The end result is a strong start to a space that will see plenty of life and activity.
