It’s a pleasure to help out and maybe pass on a few nuggets of pre computer-age skills. Awesome what the museum is planning.

Great news!

The Boat Museum has been awarded an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant to build an exciting new outdoor exhibit space. Live workshops will take place all summer, the first one is already in the works!

The crew went to visit local boat builder Mike Corrigan at the The Wooden Boat Shop today to get the project started.

It’s so nice to get a new build commission. This is an 18’ St Lawrence Skiff- ubiquitous in this region for roughy 150 years. The white oak and white cedar came from about an hour’s drive away. Stay tuned…
