I'm a little late to post this, but it was one of our major projects last winter that we completed in the summer.
It was a very unique new garage with living quarters. The home owners wanted to keep that older "cottage feel" that matched their existing cottage. I am grateful that they trusted me with this project. They were very happy with the finished product!
We used:
- Fraser wood siding on the exterior
- Good one side Fir plywood as the interior cladding that was stained and clear coated
- Anderson Windows & Doors
- Stewart Overhead Garage Doors
- Maple Engineered Hardwood for the floors in the second level living area
- Pine T&G for living quarter wall cladding and Pre-finished white washed pine T&G ceiling cladding
- Marble Surround shower with tub
-Briggs & Stratton Generator that powers house and garage when power goes out
- Electric Heater in the garage and Heat/AC unit in living quarters
- Pressure Treated lumber for the deck & stairs to access the second level living quarters

I can't thank the home owner's enough for being awesome to deal with and for trusting me with their full renovation/addition in Grand Bend! We totally gutted most of the house and vaulted all of the ceilings. We moved the garage doors to face the new larger laneway for easy access with a vehicle in and out. We also added onto the Garage and Master Bedroom above it. Thank you to all of my Subcontractors as well that helped me out along the way. We finished this project at the end of the summer after a full year of construction, and boy did it turn out great. I brought their vision to life with some quality finishes. We used:
- Moisture Shield Decking to revamp the surface of the deck with composite that doesn't get hot on your feet
- Invisirail Railing on the lakeside to give clear views of the water
- New Hardie Board Shake Siding
- New Andersen Windows
- Engineered Hardwood Flooring
- Stewart Overhead Garage Doors
- Epoxy Coating on the floors in the Garage
- Spray Foam Insulation throughout the whole house
- Trusscore Interior siding in the Garage (grey walls/white ceiling)
- Painted Pine 1x6 and 1x8 Shiplap throughout most of the house on the walls and ceilings for more of that "beach" look
- All custom Cabinetry made by Martin Wood Design (Kitchen/Pantry/Bookshelves/Office wall Unit/Floating Vanities)
- Hidden wall storage (who can find it in the photos?)
- Custom Stairs created by Roes Stair Corp.
- Metal Roofing

Just completed this massive deck/railing job in Grand Bend!
-Replaced old deck boards with all new cedar
- New cedar railing with black aluminum balusters add a more modern look
- Full reconstructed staircase that gives a more comfortable path up to the deck
-New/wider 60’ walkway to the beach deck
-Skirting on the beach deck
-New Invisarail railing on the beach deck

A little late but finished this new garage and attached breezeway a couple months ago. Hardie board siding, trusscore interior and cedar ceiling in the breezeway. Along with that, some new landscape 👌

Very happy customers after completing this 16’x48’ deck in port franks. It was a pleasure working with them!
