In 2022, we tried an experiment and uprooted 4 pots of sage from southern Alberta to see if we could transfer and grow it up here in the north. After research and preparing the space we gave it a small spot to see if it would thrive.
In 2023 the sage filled it's small circle so at the end of the growing season we opened up the space into a full circle around Sabe. with hopes to let the sage spread. We are currently filling half of the circle and since this our 2nd year of growing and we are able to harvest this sage to use for our community programs. Here is hoping that 2025 brings us a full circle!

We use the sage as our main smudge, as our teaching we have received tell us that this is a women's medicine and cleanser so it is safe to use with all groups.

We would like to thank the City of Grande Prairie Parks for the donation of 5 truck loads at end of June of mulch for our garden. This will help us get our w**ds under control as we work to tend our garden in a chemical free way.
