We specialize in helping first time or experienced gardeners grow fresh organic fruits, herbs and vegetables all winter long! We stock a wide variety of full spectrum light bulbs, ballasts, reflector hoods, fans, pumps and organic nutrient fertilizers. Everything a person needs to start and maintain their own indoor garden, in an inexpensive, simple, easy and effective way.

Hey everyone! June 30/23 update:

It has come to our attention that our ex-landlord, Alex Curry of ADC Electric, has had our store open to sell the products inside at 50% off, in an attempt to make money to be put towards our debt to him. This has not been agreed to by us, nor have we been present to even know what he’s sold and how much money he’s taken in.

We would like to ask you all… PLEASE do not buy anything at Northern Lights! The products Alex is trying to sell do not belong to us, but to our suppliers, as well as products placed on consignment in the store by 4 other local businesses/entrepreneurs — we were not allowed to take those local products to return them to their owners. He is trying to sell products that belong to people who were never on the lease with him and who owe him nothing!

This is a sad turn of events after we’d come to have positive feelings about everything turning out for the best for everyone involved. Please stay tuned. Thank you again for your overwhelming support through all of this. 😌❤️

To our valued customers:

We would like to take a moment to thank every one of you for your support of our store over the past 11.5 years; we know that the sudden closure of Northern Lights will come as a shock to you, and we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience that it causes.

This has not been a situation brought about by us; sometime after business on Friday, June 16, our landlord changed our locks, evicted us from the building with threats of trespassing, and has seized everything inside… for being 2 weeks late on rent. (Edited to add: the cats are not there and are safe. 😌) We have not been late on rent once in the entire 11+ years that we have been open, and we had recently decided to sell the business to let new energy come in to take Northern Lights to the level of success that it definitely could have once again achieved, even despite these difficult economic times that have hit so many businesses. Our landlord was aware of our plans, and that he would be paid rent when the store was sold, if not before… definitely as soon as we were able. Sadly, he didn’t honour his end of the agreement we made in good faith, and this weekend, took the steps that he did.

If you see the store open for business this week, be aware that it’s not us… and that if you purchase anything, the money will not be going to us.

Again, we apologize and we do hope to have this unfortunate situation rectified ASAP. We will update you as we can. THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️❤️
