This Lake Muskoka property focuses on outdoor living and enhancing natural landscape. Our Clients wanted their outdoor living space and landscape to be just as functional and beautiful as their cottage. Making their Lake Muskoka shoreline the feature, we created a generous stone patio allowing the family to enjoy a relaxed seating area. We enhanced their private beach with a graded sand access allowing for easy access regardless of age or mobility. Through the use of natural pathways and granite steps, the connectivity of the property was enhanced ensuring the boathouse, main cottage, outdoor seating areas and beach had a consistent flow. Relocating natural stone boulders and a variety of native plantings, a series of gardens were developed to create balance and uniqueness. Using a variety of perennials, shrubs and trees, we wanted the tiered gardens to blend existing plantings while ensuring they provided interest and brightness from all angles.

"We live in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, with landscaping we need to focus on enhancing the natural beauty and increasing functionality.
