Hello Old World Customers,
After 28 incredible years, it is bittersweet to announce that I will pass on ownership of the shop to Luke Coombs.
The goal is to provide the same customer care and craftsmanship to all of you. Some of the staff will stay on and a new experienced cabinet maker will be hired.
All jobs will be finished as planned.
I will be part of the transition period to help Luke to carry on the quality and customer relationship we have develop over the years.
I had grate pleasure working with you over the last 28 years and I like to think I could go on a canoe trip with most of you, how lucky I was to have such grate appreciative customers, thanks for that.
Also thanks to all the people who have helped and worked with me. Master furniture maker Hermann Meier who came from Germany to work with us 17 years ago.
Ed Kliewer who is a furniture maker from Kitchener and joined us 5 years ago. The helping hands, the craftsmen and craftswomen in the shop, the office staff, the designers, the renovators, and builders, the sales people, suppliers and delivery people, and most of all my Family, both sides of the ocean ,including my doughter Shanti and my incredible wife Beth. Without her, Old World Woodworking would never have existed.
She was the inspiration, the never ending guidance, late night support, and helped strengthen my relationships with all of you. Thanks Beth!
And for me, after the transition period I will be mostly retired from woodworking but I will keep the drafting board and some hand tools, so I can offer my design and repair expertise under a new company called “Time Honoured Design and Repair“. New contact info is:

I could go on about Old World and the impact it has had, but I’m excited to start this new chapter while knowing you are all in good hands with Luke and the team .
