Day 3 at the CKCA National Forum! 🇨🇦 Yesterday was another action-packed day for Trevor & Angela in Rimouski, Quebec, filled with learning, innovation, industry connections and a little fun along the way!
The morning kicked off with breakfast and an insightful education session focused on improving factory operations, embracing technology and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, led by industry experts Sepp Gemeiner of Lignum Consulting Group and Luke Elias of Muskoka Cabinet Company.
Then it was back on the buses for a fascinating tour of Miralis, visiting both of their manufacturing plants. With Plant 1 established more than 50 years ago and Plant 2 completed just last year, it was an incredible look at how traditional craftsmanship and modern technology work together. The newer facility is almost fully automated, creating an impressive balance of experience, innovation and synchronized production.
After lunch at Miralis, the group visited Armoires Distinction, a Miralis partner showroom, before heading back to the hotel for the CKCA Manufacturers’ Roundtable.
As a CKCA Board Director, Trevor joined fellow manufacturers from across Canada for an open discussion about industry challenges, successes and opportunities. These conversations are an important part of the Forum, bringing people together to share experiences, ideas and solutions.
Of course, there was plenty of time for camaraderie, too! The evening included dinner at Pancini, where the bread bar became quite the conversation hub. 🤣🥖 The group then headed to Dooly’s for drinks, billiards and plenty of laughs late into the evening.
Another fantastic day of learning, collaboration and connecting with the people who make this industry so special.
