It felt like the summer of the lobster roll 🦞 They were ALL over my feed, and if I’m being honest, I have some qualms.
I have no problem spending money on good food, but some of these $40 lobster rolls on a no-name bun? I just can’t get behind it 😂
I also have some strong opinions about my lobster roll preferences: toasted bun, warm lobster, and mayo is a MUST. You get it.
So yes, let’s spend $40 (or more) on a lobster roll, but let’s make it PERFECT. 🦞
LOBSTER ROLLS
Makes 6
3 cups lobster meat
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
SAUCE
¾ cup mayo
Zest + juice of ½ lemon
1 tbsp chives, chopped
1 tbsp tarragon, chopped
½ tsp celery seed
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp kosher salt
6 brioche buns
Oil, for toasting
Mix together the sauce and set aside.
Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add lobster and toss for about 30 seconds, just until warmed through.
Turn off the heat and stir in the mayo mixture. Spoon into toasted brioche buns and finish with extra chives.
Serve with kettle chips and ENJOY. 🦞
Now I need to know your lobster roll preferences:
Warm or cold? Mayo or no mayo? Toasted bun? 👀
