Who doesn't love a walk in pantry. This room is small in stature but mighty in storage.

For my latest clients having this room to accommodate additional storage being right off the kitchen was paramount. And since it was a small room they didn't want/need cabinet doors, as they could just shut the sliding pocket door to hide the room.

So I assembled and installed Ikea cabinetry (again to match their kitchen). All wall cabinets are open with adjustable shelves to maximize storage. Base cabinets I modified and cut down to 22 1/2" deep to still accommodate their drawers, and made a custom pullout drawer with slots for cookie trays and cutting boards.

Will be templated for stone counters to mimic their existing kitchen today.

Two tone kitchens are definitely a thing, and this kitchen really shines from what it was, to what it is now. My latest client had been dreaming and planning her kitchen renovation for a long time, and to say she was beyond excited for the transformation was an understatement.

When I met with her we discussed all kinds of layouts, and cabinet colours and styles. As you can see by the before pictures (last 4), her kitchen was old, not very functional and cut off from her dining area as there was a wall. Her husband did a great job getting their kitchen ready for me to do my thing.

Base cabinets in kitchen are a walnut brown, with an abundance of drawers, lemans pullout trays in both corners, and double garbage pullout. Wall cabinets are subtle woodgrain white to the ceiling with adjustable shelves. Glass cabinet has tempered glass shelves, and cabinet below has a flip up door that will sit on countertop (once stone counters are installed), I'll go back and do trim to the countertop.

Opposite the kitchen is a pantry/fridge/coffee bar. Pantry has (3) larger drawers on bottom, spot for microwave and shelves above. Fridge cabinet was cut down by me in height/width so would fit the space, and the flip up door was also cut down in height/width.

Coffee bar in centre consists of (2) drawer bank cabinets, cut down in height by me so will fit under the window with countertops. Left cabinet bottom drawer is a custom taller drawer requested by client for dog food, which I dressed with the drawer fronts to look the same as the cabinet next to it. Lastly, white grommet holes drilled in pantry/fridge so coffee bar appliances can be plugged in, as no room under window to add a plug. And two tone handles were installed, which were picked by the client. Champagne bronze on walnut doors/fronts, and black on white doors/fronts.

What they have now is modern, stylish and the kitchen is a lot brighter. It's open and allows gatherings to happen in a bigger space.

Next up is stone countertop install, then tile backsplash, so will update when those are done.

This was a beast of a project, but does it ever sparkle like a diamond, well almost...once countertops and tile backsplash are done. These new clients had a kitchen in decent shape but it was older with lots of wear and tear, so it was time for a change.

Where the fridge was made it tight between the island and loss of counter space with cabinets sitting on top. So I demoed the kitchen, and removed all the tile backsplash. I installed new drywall to be ready. Client had the mudding and taping done and painted.

A new kitchen with basically the same layout, except a couple upgraded changes. Fridge moved to the right corner by the entryway. A shallow wall of tall pantry cabinets with a combo of doors and drawers. The island consists of back to back cabinets on either end with a space in the middle for (4) chairs to sit and eat at. I also made and installed a hardwood frame between cabinets to help support the solid surface counters when installed.

Kitchen has an abundance of drawers, and storage with cabinets going to the ceiling. A dedicated spot for garbage in a pullout. As well as modern black handles installed on upscale and sophisticated white shaker doors and drawer fronts. Matching coloured panels, kick and custom sized trim to the ceiling.

Lots of moving parts on this one, and some challenges but it came together and now my clients have an upscale and very modern kitchen. Its light and bright and exactly what they were looking for.

This was a powder room bathroom I installed a couple months ago.

With the help of Matt (Nauffts Plumbing and Heating) and Jay (Maitland Electric) we were able to bang this one out quick to provide a second bathroom for my clients. This was done prior to updating their main bathroom ahead of their dad moving in with them.

This one has a drop ceiling as the ceiling height was a little lower than the standard 8', and there were wires and pipes which would of all had to be moved, so this was the best/least expensive option.

Clients picked the vinyl tile flooring and the vanity.

Little bathroom vanity refresh for a new client.

This bathroom was long overdue for an overhaul, and this was the first step.

Plans are to paint the existing vanity as it's still in great shape. They already upgraded the hardware, and I swapped out the countertop and install a new modern drop in sink.

This bathroom is on the up and up, and my client is excited to be able to use this room again.

Here she is in all her glory. The built in closet I installed is now fully painted and back together. The entire room got painted and does it ever look stunning.

The paint is dark and moody but this master bedroom can handle it with a wall of windows that let in tons of natural light, and the gold handles stand out from the sea of colour.

The weather is getting nicer and warmer so what better way than to spruce up your kitchen. For my latest clients thats exactly what they are doing.

When I met with them they were looking to paint their kitchen so it's brighter than the dark stain, change countertops and handles, and add tile backsplash. They also wanted to fill in the space above their existing fridge and pantry cabinets, which were deeper than normal cabinets. Since they were painting I recommended MDF as its cost effective and takes paint easily.

So I made and installed two custom sized cabinets above their fridge and pantry. Because of the fridge being under the existing bulkhead the new fridge cabinet couldn't be as wide, but the pantry cabinet is the same width as the existing one. Shaker MDF soft closing doors were installed, which match the existing style. Because the fridge door is bigger and they only wanted (1) door I made it a flip up door.

From there I installed a specific sized filler on the left and panel on the right to match the thickness and depth. Then installed custom sized flat trim to ceiling around all cabinets in kitchen. I also added new baseboard underneath their bench section under the dining table to give it a more finished look, and to cover up a vent hole no longer in use. Filled all nail holes caulked all trim/so ready for paint.

Next up for them is kitchen getting painted, then new solid surface countertops get installed (templated today), then tile backsplash.

The added storage will allow for more food storage or other seasonal items, and once the kitchen is finished it will be like a brand new space.

Out with the old (really old) and in with the new! For my latest client it was time for a change, time for a kitchen reno. Their previous kitchen was cramped for space, it lacked functional storage and parts were starting to fall apart.

First, they had Habitat for Humanity come and remove their old kitchen. I then cut out and removed their existing tile backsplash, the metal railing to their rec room, and their old laminate flooring. I then re-drywalled the walls and mudded and taped them. Then I installed their new vinyl plank flooring, with a couple transition pieces and a couple stair nosing pieces, (their peninsula backs onto a sunken rec room). The kitchen got painted and I was back to install their kitchen. Also I installed new baseboard in the kitchen, which tied into their existing, and I installed new casing on the window.

Kitchen is from Ikea and it lacks nothing. Tall wall cabinets to the ceiling with ample storage options. Tons of drawers in all base cabinets to allow for ease of use now and in the future, which provides tons of dedicated storage. A tall pantry with drawers on bottom, space for a microwave and adjustable shelf space above.

Matching colour panels, kick plate, fillers and moulding were all installed to match their modern raised panel off white doors and drawer fronts. A cream/brushed nickel combo handle was also installed on all cabinets.

Quite the change from the old cabinetry/flooring (last 3 pics) where so much space was wasted, but not anymore. They have their forever kitchen which looks and functions a lot better now, but also provides more options for storage.

Next up is solid surface countertop install (templated today), and tile backsplash. So will update when those parts are complete.

Renovating a bathroom is most likely never done alone. Multiple trades come together to use their expertise to create something new together.

For my latest install, the plumber I work with (Matt), the electrician I work with (Jay), as well as Kenny (tile work) did excellent jobs to help transform this outdated and leaky bathroom into a new updated and modern space.

With their help we were able to transform this bathroom prior to their dad moving in and giving them their full bathroom back on a short timeline.

It turned out better than expected and the clients were thrilled with the end result!

Neat and stylish install for a new client. When they purchased their house they inherited their kitchen (Enkoping Wood White from Ikea). Their kitchen is nice but they wanted to add more function and some stylish cabinetry to display items.

First I modified tall cabinets to make 60" high, which would sit on their existing quartz countertop. Cabinets were tall enough to allow for (2) glass doors on each. Since the cabinets had glass doors, we did tempered glass shelves.

Same colour tall panels, and moulding were installing to match their existing kitchen, same as new black handles. I also installed (4) magnetic puck lights that work off of a remote, but also have a sensor option to light up when close. These lights are rechargeable and very easy to manage.

Next I replaced their shelves in their pantry cabinets that flank the fridge with (4) pullout drawers in each. And also replaced their shelves in a small base cabinet next to the dishwasher, with a pullout attached to the door.

Modifications like these are a breeze as Ikea cabinets already come drilled with holes to make the process easier. And for my clients having more pullout drawers (highly recommend) means spending less time bent over digging in cabinets. Having the added cabinetry not only allows them to display their possessions but feels like it completes their existing kitchen.
